🌱 Proud to Lead Israel’s Contribution to Lilas4Soils! 🌍 As the Israeli Living Lab leader for #Lilas4Soils, together with Migal's team Eric Benmeir Kozakow, uri marchaim, Idan Kopler, and Adam Abramson, PhD I’m excited to leverage the Living Lab concept to drive sustainable technology transitions in the complex field of carbon farming in Israel. In collaboration with #Granot led by Miri Kolnik and the #GalilElionCouncil, we’re bringing innovative, real-world solutions directly to the fields. 💡💚 This builds on our ongoing efforts at MIGAL Galilee Research Institute, including the #Terroir Project with the Eastern Galilee Cluster and the Corporate Challenge Competition we lead with GrowingIL, where we work to bring cutting-edge agritech innovations to the forefront of sustainable farming. 🚜🌿 📍 What’s next? We are nearing the completion of establishment of the living lab, by closing its innovation helix that bringing together all stakeholders from academia, industry, farmers, civil and environmental organizations. We are also gearing up for exciting pilot projects and demo sites in Israel, empowering local farmers with cutting-edge agritech solutions. 🚜🌿 #LivingLabs #CarbonFarming #RegenerativeAgriculture #SoilMission #AgriTech #SustainableFarming #EasternGalileeCluster #ClimateAction #UpperGalileeCouncil https://lnkd.in/dAdZzqqg

🌱Reminiscent of My Project at Synthite: Using Hydroponics to Grow Bacopa Monnieri 🌱 I was reflecting on one of my favourite projects at Synthite, where I had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of hydroponics! We focused on cultivating Bacopa monnieri, a plant renowned for its cognitive and health benefits. This project not only deepened my understanding of sustainable agriculture but also challenged me to innovate and problem-solve in a dynamic environment. Key takeaways from this experience: Sustainable Practices: Hydroponics allows for efficient water use and maximizes space, making it an ideal method for growing valuable herbs like Bacopa. Collaboration and Learning: Working with a talented team helped me refine my skills in project management and scientific research. Results: We achieved a successful yield that demonstrated the potential of hydroponic systems in commercial agriculture. Grateful for the lessons learned and excited to continue exploring the intersection of technology and agriculture! 🌿 #Throwback #Hydroponics #SustainableAgriculture #BacopaMonnieri #Innovation #Synthite #Elasustainablesolutions

NRM Regions Australia webinar Tuesday, 21st May, 12.30pm – 2pm AEST Our most common pollinators are insects and according to bee experts at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, a third of the world’s food production depends on bees. With bee populations declining globally, over recent decades due to habitat loss, intensive farming practices, changes in weather patterns and the excessive use of agrochemicals such as pesticides, this poses a threat to the planet and human food security, well-being and livelihoods. NRM Regions Australia’s Biosecurity CoP is hosting a webinar with three pollinator experts with the latest information on varroa mite, practical pollinator biosecurity & emerging technology. For more information, and to register, visit the Eventbrite page: https://lnkd.in/gRhBmf2E Please note this webinar is open to regional NRM organisation staff and board members only.
