Two weeks ago, I had the incredible experience of attending Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Toronto. The energy was electric—thousands of fans singing in unison, creating a shared sense of connection that was both powerful and uplifting. It reminded me how transformative community can be, and how we can carry that same feeling forward by giving back to others. That’s why #GivingTuesday resonates so deeply. It’s a day to unite through generosity, to create ripples of impact that extend far beyond ourselves. At Aventiv Technologies, I’m proud of the way my colleagues leaned into this spirit of giving, finding meaningful ways to support the communities we serve. When people ask about my favorite part of working at Aventiv Technologies, my answer is always rooted in one word: connection. The power of connection drives everything we do—from building innovative solutions to providing technology that can foster opportunities for upward economic mobility when people return to their communities. Last week, my 10 year old asked me if I “liked my job” L.O.L. Truth is, I LOVE what I do. I LOVE taking time to think about how to create spaces and opportunities to leverage AMPT: Advancing Nonprofits for BIPOC led organizations to have access to more resources and funding. I LOVE watching reels and reading social media posts from nonprofits who tell beautiful stories about what they’re able to do with a grant from AMPT. I love facilitating cohorts and sharing insights with other executive directors. Over the past 30 years, donor-advised funds (DAFs) have become an increasingly popular choice for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. With low costs and minimal administrative headaches, DAFs are easy to set up, and donors receive their tax advantage right away, regardless of when they start recommending financial distributions to nonprofit organizations.
