Key insights from Saudi Airport Exhibition and Women in Aviation General Assembly! ✈️ Last week, Transreport had the privilege of engaging with thought leaders and industry experts at the Saudi Airport Exhibition, where innovation’s role in transforming airport customer experience was a key topic. The Global Aviation Issues Conference provided an impactful platform to explore how our multimodal technology is empowering the aviation sector to improve operational efficiency and create a new standard of air travel accessibility for all. At the Women In Aviation General Assembly, conversations focused on the importance of increasing gender diversity and representation to support Saudi Arabia’s ambitious aviation expansion. Our Commercial and Operations Manager Sophie Willey connected with Mervat Sultan, FRAeS, President of Women in Aviation Middle East Chapter, to reflect on these important initiatives. As we continue to expand our presence in the Middle East and the wider aviation sector, we are excited to contribute to the region’s growth while championing innovation, inclusion, and accessibility for all. As I head back from our International Cooperation Forum in Sri Lanka this week there are a few things I would like to reflect on. ⮕ Firstly, despite all the challenges we might worry about in aviation, there are many amazing people in all corners of the globe doing inspiring work that will set us on the right path. ⮕ Continued cooperation at regional and global level is vital to the success of our industry in the long term. Regulators must get closer to the industry to ensure a safe and secure aviation ecosystem. ⮕ It was great to see proper diversity in action, with a technical panel entirely made up of inspirational women from the industry. Normally such situations occur only when we talk about diversity or women in aviation. We think nothing of having all male panels so this felt extremely noteworthy. ⮕ Finally we must get better at reaching out to the future workforce and work harder to keep the staff we have. In Sri Lanka, the CAA have a 30 minute weekly TV show that I will appear on this coming week. They also have a programme called Aviation Dreams where they collect young people from home and take them to the authority, the airport, the airline, the hangar and the ATC tower to showcase all the cool jobs in aviation. More of this type of proactive approach is really important.

It's the first time I've attended the #Global_Rail_2024 conference. I had great discussions, and here are my takeaways: - Etihad Rail, with a tremendous rail project across the UAE, establishing a new trade corridor from East to West. I believe this project will be a great success and expand more and more, connecting the Emirates and other countries. I am really looking forward to the #passenger_rail_connection between #Dubai and #Abu_Dhabi, which will help me get to future conferences faster and more efficiently. - Abu Dhabi Airports, with its new technologies, allows you to do check-in, immigration, and security controls in a fully automatic mode using #biometric_touchpoints. There are still some concerns regarding the #30_minute_airport_concept due to possible issues with the emigration and security checks for some passengers and possible claims due to delays in boarding. However, I believe cutting-edge technologies and efficient operation processes allow us to make it a #standard and save the most essential resource for humans - #time. - Roads and Transport Authority shows the new #Blue_Line metro station's design. It looks great, and I am looking forward to starting using this line as Dubai's population is growing fast, and only public transport can help citizens move around the city fast, save, and with excellent comfort. I expect that quite soon, we will hear about some plans or case studies for new lines connecting more parts of the city to the one public transportation system. I liked the latest technologies they use to collect data from the stations and trains to manage passenger flow. I wish them a successful implementation, as it's very essential. Next week, I will attend GITEX GLOBAL Largest Tech & Startup Show in the World, and get there by metro, which is usually quite crowded at this time and place. There were two fantastic sessions I attended at the technology conference provided by Alstom on the topic of AI and Gen AI, and Nevomo on the topic of new wagons without locomotives and increasing current infrastructure capacity through digital tech and light infrastructure modernization without new rail construction. The figures Nevomo showed were really impressive. That was a great day for me. I look forward to attending the #Global_Rail next year to learn more facts and technology cases. #Rail #ADNEC #Transportation #Airport #Metro

The private aviation industry is experiencing a remarkable surge, driven by global wealth accumulation, technological advancements, and evolving business needs. This boom is reshaping not only how the ultra-wealthy travel but also how companies operate and engage in philanthropy. This boom is complemented by significant technological advancements and a growing focus on sustainability: 1. Next-Generation Aircraft: New business jets like the Airbus TwoTwenty offer 1/3 lower key operating costs compared to other large business jets and twice the value retention. The TwoTwenty provides 73m² (786 sq ft) of floor space, up to three times the cabin space of large business jets. 2. Environmental Considerations: The TwoTwenty boasts 50% lower emissions per square meter compared to other large business jets, with NOx emissions 45% below standards. Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80%. In November 2023, Emirates operated an Airbus A380 demonstration flight powered by 100% SAF. 3. Business and Philanthropic Implications The private aviation sector's growth is also influencing business practices and philanthropic efforts: More #hedgefunds and #privateequity firms are looking to upgrade their aircraft or purchase a private jet for the first time. There's an increasing emphasis on face-to-face meetings with clients and business partners, as well as a growing focus on security. A survey of 100 large U.S. #familyoffices (average AUM of $3.35 billion) revealed that 87% are open to using their aircraft for philanthropic purposes. To explore these trends further, Airbus Corporate Jets is hosting an exclusive webinar on the intersection of business efficiency, global philanthropy, and environmental stewardship in private aviation. Featured Speaker: Chadi Saade – President, Airbus Corporate Jets Date: Tuesday, November 5th, 11 am ET (4 pm GMT, 5 pm CET, 6 pm Riyadh, 7 pm Dubai) Registration: https://lnkd.in/dAVMWPm The session is LIVE & INTERACTIVE: your questions will be answered. All registered participants will also receive a REPLAY link.

In the last two days, I had the pleasure of attending the Arab Aviation Summit, where I met and exchanged ideas with some of the most influential players in the Aviation Industry. The summit focused on exploring the "Future of Travel", bringing together a diverse range of participants and was an excellent opportunity to discuss the impact of the Middle East on the aviation industry worldwide. During the summit, there were several discussions around the challenges and growth opportunities in crucial areas for aviation, including sustainability, airports of the future, the current economic and political climate, and collaborative strategies for sustainable aviation and tourism growth. The Arab Aviation Summit was the opportunity to discuss, plan and challenge the minds to participate in the implementation of all the projects in the region. It was also the first time the Arab Youth Forum gave the Leaders of the Future in Arab Aviation an opportunity to listen to the discussions around the future of aviation with the prominent leaders in worldwide and regional aviation. I had the opportunity to present my insights on "How AI can increase aviation efficiency and motivation levels at airports." AI can have a significant impact on: - customer experience - employee satisfaction - profitability. Through my demonstration, I explained that there are initiatives that produce a material impact on these three aspects. Still, it will require all aviation ecosystem participants to rethink their processes and integrate data to deliver results. After the presentation, I had some incredible discussions with the participants, and many workstreams were born to bring this vision into reality around the region and the world. Overall, it was one of the best experiences in aviation events I have had, and I would like to congratulate the Arab Aviation Summit team, especially Frederico Fernandes, for organizing such an insightful summit. #aviation #travel #airlines #innovation #talent
