Here’s how to make others feel comfortable sharing their ideas and truths with you: 1. **Be Fully Present**: Eliminate distractions and give your undivided attention. Maintain eye contact and show engagement through nods and expressions. 🤩 2. **Practice Active Listening**: Reflect back what you’ve heard by summarizing or paraphrasing, showing you value their perspective. 😃 3. **Show Empathy**: Validate their feelings with empathetic responses, even if you don’t agree. This builds a connection. 🥹 4. **Ask Open-Ended Questions**: Encourage deeper conversation with questions like “Can you tell me more about that?” to invite more detailed responses. 🤔 5. **Avoid Judgment and Interruptions**: Let them finish their thoughts fully before responding, and refrain from interrupting or judging. 🤫 6. **Be Patient with Silence**: Allow pauses for them to gather their thoughts, demonstrating your patience and understanding. 🙂 7. **Respond Thoughtfully**: Show that you’ve considered their perspective. Offer insights as part of a collaborative conversation rather than giving unsolicited advice. 😌 8. **Build Trust**: Consistently listen without judgment and respond thoughtfully to foster trust, encouraging future openness.💪🏽 By adopting these practices, you create a safe environment where people feel valued and are more likely to share openly and truthfully. 🙌🏽
