#DidYouKnow Business districts and shopping centers with a high canopy cover attract more consumers than those with lesser canopy coverage. A recent study showed that consumers respond positively to shopping environments with attractive trees and landscaping. Healthy and well-maintained landscapes with trees send positive messages about the appeal of a business district, the quality of products offered there, and what customer service the shopper can expect. In fact, it was concluded that consumers are willing to pay as much as 11% more for products purchased in landscaped business districts. Trees are an important part of attracting shoppers and visitors! Find this interesting? You can learn more tree facts and sign our pledge to save the city's iconic tree canopy at CharlotteWithoutTrees.org. Added bonus? When you sign our pledge during the month of October, you'll get a 10% discount for our merch store! #CWT #TreesCharlotte #TreesCLT #TreePreservation #TreeCanopyCLT #CanopyCoverageCLT #CanopyConservation #TreeFacts #DYK

Winning the town. In today's rapidly changing retail landscape, the old rules no longer apply 📣 In the retail- sphere, traditional strategies are no longer sufficient to meet the demands of today's consumers. The future of retail lies in building local ecosystems that cater to customers where they live and work, creating a personalised and community-centric shopping experience. This shift towards "winning the town" is essential for retailers looking to thrive in a competitive market and establish meaningful connections with their target audience. At Dalton Park, we have defined what this shift means to us. By understanding the unique needs and preferences of our surrounding area, we have successfully created a retail environment that goes beyond mere transactions to foster genuine relationships with our shoppers. Winning the town is not just a concept but a reality that is evident at Dalton Park. From curated local events that celebrate the community to partnerships with nearby businesses that enhance the overall experience, we aim to be a hub of local activity and connection. By focusing on building local ecosystems, we are able to reach customers on a deeper level, tapping into the emotional and social aspects of shopping that drive loyalty and engagement. This approach not only benefits our centre and retailers, but also enriches the lives of the community members who frequent our centre, creating a symbiotic relationship that is mutually beneficial. As the retail industry continues to evolve, the importance of winning the town through local ecosystems cannot be overstated. Our goal at Dalton Park is to create a shopping experience that is not only convenient and enjoyable but also deeply rooted in the fabric of the community 🌟 #DaltonPark #WinningTheTown #LocalCommunity

Reposting to increase reach. As someone with a passion for retail, I’m bored by the constant doom-mongering that seems to get more airtime than it should right now. Retail (and retailers) is still as exciting as ever. There’s much more news to celebrate about what’s going on in the Retail industry than is being shared - if only the national press saw that as being newsworthy too! Join the group by clicking the link and you’ll see exactly what I mean. #retail #highstreet #celebratethehighstreet #highstreetnews

#foodforthoughts Do you think high street stores are scheduled for planned obsolescence? I came to this conclusion, as more and more of them are replaced by eateries, the only exception being health and beauty stores (to an extent). There is also less and less stock and staff in the ones remaining open, they feel like empty shells... Only existing to assist online shopping. Share your #thoughts in comments ↘️ #retail #highstreetfuture #urbanplanning #business
