After the Global Water Summit in London, Trevi had the absolute pleasure to visit SaltPower in Sonderborg, Denmark and was graciously hosted by Jørgen M. Clausen and Lars Storm Pedersen. Both our organizations deeply understand and value the power of osmosis, where the movement of a solvent (like water) through a semipermeable membrane into a solution of higher solute concentration works to equalize concentrations on either side. Discussions were robust and non-stop! Trevi was truly impressed by their team, technology, and accomplishments to date, respectfully from one osmosis company to another. Enhanced Rock Weathering is a great example of how a soil additive that helps the soil carbon sequestration also improves soil quality. The additional Cation Exchange Capacity by the amendments is a key indicator of soil invertebrate health. In fact, we've demonstrated that improving Cation Exchange Capacity is more important to mitigating metal toxicity to soil organisms, than reducing soil metal content. It's a great example of how technologies that help mitigate climate change also improve soil quality.
