🛠️ Harley-Davidson Drops DEI Initiatives 🛠️ In a recent statement, Harley-Davidson outlined changes to its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts, signaling a shift in its corporate priorities: 1️⃣ No Dedicated DEI Function: As of April 2024, Harley-Davidson no longer maintains a formal DEI function or specific diversity quotas. Instead, the company is focusing on broader employee engagement and alignment with business needs. 2️⃣ Support for Core Communities: The Harley-Davidson Foundation and sponsorships will prioritize the riding community, veterans, and first responders, emphasizing alignment with its brand and values. 3️⃣ Employee Development: Training efforts will remain focused on legal compliance and business-aligned outcomes, steering away from socially motivated content. 4️⃣ Business Resource Groups: Executive support will be provided to employee groups for professional development and networking. If you’re like me, there’s so much to do and think about that it’s easy to skip the little wins and just focus on celebrating when we reach the destination. Here’s what I’ve learned though: The celebrations along the way are a lot more important. They build morale for the journey. They build loyalty for the team. They build confidence for the challenges to come. They establish patterns for longevity. They build a culture for noticing when people do great work and helping others repeat it on purpose. When we find moments to celebrate along the way, we encourage the work and behaviors that ultimately move us toward our destination. So the question is: Who can you celebrate this week?

What can we celebrate? Well today I celebrate the fact that not only have I worked very hard for the last 20 years of my career. But this hard work pays off in so many ways. - family activity - a comfortable home - food on the table - the ability to sponsor when asked to do so - the opportunity that I’m able to give to others - the support I’m able to give others - the experience to question other people’s truth - and determination to get it done However all the above I’m still an apprentice. Some of my suppliers love the fact that I aim to control situations, others definitely despise this. Some of my clients love the fact I talk with conviction and passion. Some hate it but still appreciate that it’s out of the vision of getting things right. Can you be all things to all people all the time? NO YOU CANNOT. Look at our Olympian’s they are niche (however we only see some of what they can do) but they are masters of their sport. The worst performance can still be a mighty heroic effort. The point I am badly making here is that we need to celebrate all that is good in the world. And there’s lots of it. The sheer scale of what it takes to pull off the Olympic Games, the detail that goes into lighting a space, the effort that goes into training for that qualification, the money that has to be made to build a business, the negotiating of legal teams to get an outcome, the risks taken by emergency profession to save a life, and the confidence it takes to sing infront of thousands of people. So the celebration is this. Everyone you meet is because of the effort of hundreds of thousands of people that went before us. So make those meetings meaningful and positive and ensure on a meaningful outcome. This chance that you meet people is millions to one so do not waste your greeting.

Sure, assuming the article in question covers St. Patrick's Day, here's a LinkedIn post you might use to share the insights from the article: --- Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone! 🍀 Today isn't just about donning green attire or enjoying a pint of Guinness; it's steeped in rich history and cultural significance. It's a day to celebrate the Irish culture, honor St. Patrick, and embrace the spirit of community and togetherness. In light of the occasion, I've read an insightful article that delves into the fascinating traditions and origins of this beloved holiday, and I couldn't help but share some of the learnings (minus the link, of course): 📖 The article highlights how St. Patrick's Day transcends geographical boundaries and has become a global celebratory phenomenon, showcasing the indelible impact of Irish culture around the world. 🌍 It further investigates how cities across the globe celebrate with parades, cultural festivals, and a sea of green, turning famous landmarks into emerald beacons. 🇮🇪 Additionally, it sheds light on the life of St. Patrick himself and how his missionary work centuries ago continues to resonate and inspire. 🍀 Lastly, the piece emphasizes not just the joyous festivities but also the importance of recognizing and respecting the cultural integrity and roots of the holiday. Whether you're Irish by blood or just in spirit, this article is a reminder of the rich tapestry of stories that shape St. Patrick's Day. It's a celebration of community, resilience, and the joy of shared heritage. Sláinte mhaith! (That's 'good health' for us non-Gaelic speakers) #StPatricksDay #Ireland #Culture #Community #GlobalCelebration #Heritage --- Remember that the purpose of the LinkedIn post is to provide a brief overview and insightful takeaways from the article to engage your network, promote thought, and potentially spark conversations. https://ayr.app/l/ttkQ

The Black Enterprise TechConneXt Summit connected African American executives with Silicon Valley to foster diversity and inclusion. Empowering women entrepreneurs was another focus through the Women of Power Summit, addressing challenges and celebrating achievements of African American women in business and politics. Our "Power in The Boardroom" report played a part in increasing black representation on S&P 500 boards, highlighting the importance of diverse leadership. Entrepreneurs like Tristan Walker, Morgan DeBaun, John Henry, Gilbert Campbell III, and Natalie Madeira Cofield exemplify the spirit of innovation and resilience, breaking barriers and creating opportunities.
