Wellcome Trust’s CEO John-Arne Røttingen announces at the United Nations #SummitOfTheFuture that we are backing the development of new data and tools for accelerating living evidence synthesis with £45 million in funding over five years. This investment will enable real-time aggregation of scientific data, support open science practices, and give policymakers, clinicians, and other decision-makers access to the most up-to-date evidence. It will reduce the cost and time it takes to produce producing evidence syntheses, making them more accessible for researchers in the Global South or in underfunded fields.
