A strong team of peers whom you listen to and share your truths with can be invaluable in examining past blunders objectively and in no longer being "condemned to repeat" the past. Read more in my blog, "Hindsight is NOT Perfect." https://lnkd.in/gpyBSAMY

Be scared of the silent members of your team. You do not know what they are thinking and you will struggle to know how to help them. This is why it is important to create an environment where the facts are revealed by anyone and the truth accepted by everyone. Your team should not be scared to say what they think.

Leaders, how would you rate your team on PROBLEM-SOLVING? Are we empowering our leaders to think, problem-solve, and come up with solutions? OR Are we spoon feeding them the answers, wondering why they aren’t more self sufficient and able to show ambition and initiative to find solutions? Developing problem-solvers takes a small pivot where you, as the leader engage with asking a few simple items to consider: 💡 Rather than bring me your challenges, what is 1 solution you could come up with? 💡 Thank you for bringing this to my attention, how can we put our heads together to solve this issue. 💡Before coming to me, could you connect with your team and come up with a few solutions to this challenge? Employees want to be engaged, they want to be part of something great and they want to know that their leader BELIEVES in them and TRUSTS them. If you want to have a problem-solving environment, let’s connect! I love helping leaders make sone great strides with greater collaboration and streamline efficiency through problem-solving! Cheers to great leaders who believe in the potential of their people!🤩 #problemsolvers #innovation #management #ceo #entrepreneurs #talent #highperformanceteams
How well does your team problem-solve? We tend to lose the perception of how big the problem really is. Problems are everywhere and everyone has them. Consider your perception and your reaction to problems. Are you a champion problem-solver?

What many fear will happen when they admit a mistake: punishment, retribution, shaming. What actually happens when admitting a mistake: improved trust & credibility. Being wrong is an unavoidable part of life and work. But you can easily avoid the damage that comes with being obviously wrong + being unwilling to admit your mistakes. "I was wrong" is not an admission of total failure. "I was wrong" is just an admission of the regular fallibility that we all share, and the first words to use to acknowledge your humanity and start improving whatever the issue is with your team.

Sometimes, we get so caught up in the complexity of our challenges that we overlook the simplest solutions right in front of us. It's like searching for your glasses while they're perched on your head—often, the answer is easier than we imagine. Having someone who can untangle your thoughts and ask the right questions during tough times is invaluable. Get a inner circle team who can help you see the path you’ve been missing.

⚙ The Genius of Discernment ⚙ Discernment geniuses have the natural gift of using intuition & instincts to evaluate & assess ideas or plans. They also tend to think and say: - "Now that's a great idea." - "This isn't going to work." - "Tell me more about your proposal. I think you're on to something." - "I think I know what we need to change." Those with the Genius of Discernment have a knack for and derive energy and joy from evaluating whether or not an idea is sound, or if it requires further tweaking and adjustments. Discerners provide the thoughtful benefits of curating, evaluating, and identifying the best ideas, and avoiding the ones that aren’t good or refining those that aren’t yet ready. This is ME to a T! What do you think Alex Cullimore and Nicole Handy? 😅 This is one of our absolute favorite models for team cohesion and productivity. We use it internally daily. Just in the last few weeks, we have had the privilege to facilitate several workshops on this framework with various teams of amazing leaders …. and more to come 💡 #teamsuccess #teamproductuvity #weare #leadershipdevelopment #humanleadership #humanskills Siamo

One of my geniuses is Discernment. I love to listen to others who are big idea thinkers and then help them refine and grow their ideas into something that can be accomplished. I cannot tell you how many times I've been in a room where we've had different thoughts being presented, and then I interject where the are similar and can actually be molded into a single solution that is actionable and scalable. This is what gets me going. How can I help be your thinking partner to get your big ideas zooming forward? #consulting #HRthoughtpartner

You are not your team. Your team is not you, as much as we try to make them us in aggregate as we can. Everyone has varying strengths, weaknesses, and limits, known and unknown. Understand what you are burdening your team with and their actual ability to meet the needed specification and bear the burden without imploding. Just because you or someone else may bear the same stress well does not mean everyone else will. Learn your people, help them grow by expanding their scope to meet larger expectations, not crush them. If you are breaking your team then you are failing them. Follow us and learn more!
