It fills me with great excitement to be the winner of the 1st prize during the #Safety Talk on National Safety Day, presented by our CEO, Mr. B D Dalwadi Sir. Safety is not just a priority in workplaces, but it should also be a part of our daily habits. Beyond focusing on industrial or process safety, what truly matters is promoting behavioural safety for all. Being associated with a company that places safety as its utmost priority, surpassing even financial gains and losses, fills me with immense pride. #nationalsafetyday #4thMarch #safety #safetyfirst #safetyculture #safetyalways

Your Life is Priceless! When working at heights, complacency often creeps in, especially when it's a "short and quick job." But safety can never take a backseat. Did you know? In Malay, we have a saying: "Malang tidak berbau" – Accidents are odorless. We can never predict what might happen, but one thing is for sure – it’s better to be safe than sorry. In our latest video, we’re shedding light on the essential PPE you need when working at heights, especially the body harness. It’s the line between you and a potential fall that could change everything. Don’t let complacency risk your safety. Let’s make sure every worker has a safety-first mindset so they can go home safely to their families at the end of the day. Watch the video now and explore IPAF’s safety guide on body harnesses here: https://lnkd.in/dmtrHqQA Stay safe, always. 💪🦺 #SafetyFirst #WorkAtHeights #BodyHarness #SafetyMindset #IPAF #PPE #StaySafeAtWork

🔎 Situational awareness is one of the key elements in safety management. Simplified it means paying attention and being aware of what is going on around you and in you. And related to safety management we can understand that there are different levels where it is crucial: individual level, team or group level and organisational level. At all levels mentioned above we need to collect information and analyze it to make decisions to ensure safe operations and prevent harmful incidents. 🏃♂️ One of the key learnings during my career in professional orienteering sports some decades ago was that elite orienteers have much more frequent eye contact to the map and they make more conscious observations form the terrain than those who are beginners or not so succesful. They are whole time analysing the information from the map and from the terrain ensuring their situational awareness where they exactly are. And when it sometimes happen that they make wrong interpretations which cause orienteering mistakes, their mistakes are smaller and they can more quickly correct to the right course. 👉 I have noticed that there are similarities with organisations’ safety management. The best organisations seem to ensure their situational safety awareness better than not so advanced organisations. They have their finger on the pulse, they collect much more safety observations from different sources, have better systems and procedures to analyze the information and they enhance learning throughout whole organisation. In this way they are better aware where they are and what they need to do. #safetyculture #safetyleadership #icginnotiimi #situationalawareness

More great information for you! While all of these topics are good, I am especially drawn to #2 & #4. When was the last time you reviewed your company driving policy? Do you even have one? What about talking to your employees about preventing trips, slips, and falls? As someone who has seen thousands of work place injuries in my career- I can tell you prevention is key. Taking a proactive, engaged approach to employee safety can do wonders for your workforce. Show your employees you care about them! Talk safety to them and then lead by example. Let me know if you ever want to talk Work Comp- it's one of my favorite subjects to discuss 😎 #employeesafety #beproactive #nationalsafetymonth
