Its hard to believe it’s just on a year since I started at TREC. Getting a team working together, systems and tactical consistency up and running that is strategically aligned to help deliver the construction 🚧 programme is the comms team’s bread and butter. 💡 When a community is well informed they may not like the disruption, but moving their sentiment towards acceptance helps us deliver construction milestones. 🔖Newsletters and letter drops may not seem like the most exciting things, and the consistency is important. However in civil infrastructure they prove time and time again that they are an important part of the comms mix for our communities and stakeholders in this project. 🧐 What’s your experience with newsletters, in and out of civil infrastructure? How have they helped or not helped to shift the dial on community and stakeholder sentiment? Read our monthly flagship newsletter below. In some shape or form I think everyone in our comms team across our locations is part of this. Special mention to Jamie and Kate who drive this monthly deliverable. Herding us 🐈…

(It's a series of posts, but when you only post once every four years, it may be appropriate) When you put your head down things happen but it can disconnect a professional from society and reality. It's been a hectic and fun ride the past few years at WGM and here's a few highlights of the past few months; our Natural Resources team has gathered the wagons to make these happen and I'm proud and humbled by their ability to step-up to make these projects successful reality and not just an exercise in punching a clock. Abby Indreland, PE, Bruce Anderson, Spencer Schock, Patrick Treacy, Jessica Erben. Missoula County Rock Creek Bridge Scour Mitigation: As many of us in Montana are aware we have aging bridge infrastructure that requires some much needed attention and maintenance. WGM teamed with Missoula County Public Works to address the scour critical concerns for the Rock Creek Bridge over the Clark Fork River. Design and permitting were accomplished with an extraordinary effort over less than two-months. Missoula County Public Works operators dove in headfirst and exceeded our predicted production rates by 3X! Three instream bents protected for the future and one abutment to boot. Rivers move fast but we moved faster.
