🌍🏝✈️Travel Tip Tuesday🌏🏝✈️ Taking your first trip abroad with the kids over the summer holidays? Here are 𝟲 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 🛫 ⏲ 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 - As most of us know, simple activities can take longer than expected when kids are involved; having an early breakfast to avoid rushing to your next activity, arriving at the airport with plenty of time before your flight... leaving enough time is essential for keeping stress levels low. 🩺 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 - It's always a good idea to have some basic medicines with you rather than having to worry about finding a pharmacy in foregin land should your child feel under the weather... And don't forget the sick bags for those long journey 🤸♀️ 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 - Whether you travel by plane, bus, car, train, or boat, the journey can be long, and young children are likely to become bored. It's a good idea to be prepared and have some family games on hand to keep kids occupied. 🔍 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 - Children's passports, unlike adult passports, are only valid for five years. Make sure you have checked the expiry dates of everyone in your party a few months before your trip. 🧸 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 - Travelling abroad can be intimidating for little ones, but there are a few things you can do to help them adjust, such as keeping your child's bedtime as close to normal as possible and packing familiar items like a favourite toy or comforter. 📍 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 - We never intent to lose sight of our children, but the stress of flying and being in a new country might cause them to get disoriented. While this may appear to be an unlikely circumstance, it's a good idea to plan ahead of time and assign a meeting spot. #TravelTipTuesday #travelwithkids #travelagenttips #traveltoptips

It’s Not Too Late To Book Your Safari This Year! Last-minute planning? 5 expert tips for booking at short notice! Tip #1 - Use A Vetted Safari Professional We use our first-hand experience, industry knowledge, and on-the-ground vendor relationships to help you secure the best possible camp and lodge availability. We will take care of booking all of your domestic flights, ground transfer arrangements as well as provide visa applications and immunization requirements so that you can focus on packing your bags and enjoying the anticipation! Before booking your international flights it’s a good idea to consult with your safari operator to ensure that there is available space that works with your dates. Tip #2 - Ensure Your Travel Documents And Vaccinations Are Up To Date Check that your passport is still valid 6 months from the return date of travel. You will also need consecutive blank pages depending on the countries you are visiting. We’ll help you understand if visas are required before you go or if you can get them on arrival. It’s also important that you understand vaccination requirements for entry. Tip #3 - Be Flexible Trust your tour operator for their expert advice. Instead of focusing on a specific accommodation, think about what you want from your safari. - Do you want to canoe down the Zambezi River? - See the Great Migration? - Interact with locals? - Extend your time in a city or coastal destination? If your favorite accommodations are full over your preferred travel dates, we will recommend alternative camps and lodges that offer a similar experience. Staying flexible and open-minded opens other opportunities. Tip #4 - Provide Us With As Much Information As Possible When you are traveling at short notice, it’s important you are as specific as possible with any requirements you have so that we can present you with suitable options. Tip #5 - Ask About Available Travel Special Rates By remaining flexible with your travel dates and destinations, you can unlock exclusive pricing on luxurious lodges with world-class game viewing. Check out our current Safari Specials for more information. To learn how to incorporate these deals into your custom safari, schedule a consultation with Tett Safaris' owner, Carolyn Tett. When Was Your Last Vacation? (Besides your last Grindr Nightmare) We all know the struggle. Between the boss's neverending demands (and questionable fashion sense) and that neverending to-do list that seems to multiply, it's easy to forget the key to a fabulous life: VACATION! But how do you know when you've officially crossed the line from "slightly sassy" to "single-handedly channelling Karen at your coworker?" I bring you the totally legit (okay, maybe not super scientific) signs that your vacation meter is running on E: 1. You've nicknamed your plant "Sharon" and started giving her passive-aggressive compliments on her new "hair growth." 2. You fold laundry with the enthusiasm of a drag queen twirling for the tiaras. 3. The grocery store scanner beeping "unexpected item in the bagging area" is the highlight of your week. 4. You find yourself googling strange things like "acceptable nap times for grown men" or "how to train a squirrel to fetch your martini glass." If any of these resonate with you, it's time to ditch the desk chair and swap it for a pool lounger. But where to, you ask? Africa? Nature is a magic stress eraser, and Africa is basically a whole damn stress eraser factory. Studies (real ones, this time!) have shown that spending time in nature lowers blood pressure, reduces anxiety, and boosts your mood. Africa is practically overflowing with nature's finest. From sprawling savannas to majestic mountains, you'll be surrounded by enough beauty to make you forget about Brenda from marketing and her questionable taste in bowties. Africa offers the perfect chance to reconnect with yourself, your travel buddies, and the incredible world around you. There you have it. If you're teetering on the edge of a breakdown, fueled by passive-aggressive plant compliments and a newfound love of laundry folding, then Africa awaits! It's time to ditch the stress and swap it for sunshine, safaris, and some much-needed soul-soothing nature. It is time to book your vacation. www.bromafrica.com tours@bromafrica.com

Before you jet off to your next adventure, make sure your passport game is on point! 🌍✈️ Here are some common passport mistakes to avoid: 1. Check the Expiry Date: Many countries require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. 📅 2. Get Necessary Visas: Some destinations need more than just a passport. 3. Ensure you have all necessary visas sorted well in advance. 🗂️ 4. Have Digital and Paper Copies: Keep handy, digital and paper copies of your passport and travel documents in case of emergency. I keep my paper copy in a waterproof ziplock bag! 📑 5. Update Your Details Before Travel: If you’ve changed your name or any other important info about yourself, make sure your passport reflects those changes. 🔄 6. Avoid Souvenir Stamps: Tempted to get novelty stamps from places like Machu Picchu or Antarctica? Don’t put them in your passport, as they can make it invalid. I recommend putting those stamps on a sticky note - that way, they are removable. Safe travels!
