🚤 Speed is king? We’d argue nowadays power - and the consequent fuel consumption - is king! But of course, the relation between the two is all-determining in your operational performance. To reliably validate the speed/power relation of ships, MARIN, together with industry partners, developed the method for speed/power trials that is today ISO15016:2015 in the Sea Trials Analysis JIP.
