Apartments in Bangalore from the eyes of a 90s kid Mumbaikar: Initial learning, back in 2005 was that in no city or town of India, land is as scarce as it is in Mumbai. Having established that fact, here are some of the things that struck me later on - 1) Apartments are neatly done, the finishing touches are great! 2) No shortage of Amenities, you get everything from Clubhouse to swimming pool and much more. 3) Builders like Prestige, Brigade pushed the envelope continuously from the 80s to attract people who lived in their plot of lands with big enough houses that had garden space to buy flats. This is unthinkable (only) in Mumbai. 4) Flats in apartments by the best builders are accessible not just to the upper class. (read: Hiranandani, Raheja in Mumbai) 5) The systematization of staff including security, service staff by the builders who are doubling down as corporate entities managing the same professionally. This may seem like basic, common stuff to you but moving from Mumbai to Bangalore, you're more likely to find it relatable.
