Watch out for this new preprint that systematically integrates multi-omic data with mechanistic prior knowledge. The insights come from the estimation of activities of transcription factors and kinases as well as ligand-receptor interactions and integrating that with network-level prior-knowledge. Such an approach can provide new insights from high dimensional datasets such as patient cohorts.
