Is your practice not active on social media?
You could be diminishing its potential.
Why should your GP practice care about social media?
🌳Today, we had the amazing team from KeSocials including its founder Tiarnán McKeever join us at Elmtree Medical Centre.
Their mission?
To help us share our story, values, and services in ways that resonate with our patients.
🎬We along with Jamie Kenley spent the day brainstorming, filming, and creating meaningful content—all with one goal: to add value to our patients.
Why is this important?
Because a GP practice is more than a place for prescriptions and appointments.
It’s the hub for the community.
➡️By creating content that’s informative, relatable, and engaging, we’re building relationships with our patients—long before they walk through our doors.
Don’t trust me? Here’s a conversation I had earlier this week.
A patient asked me:
“Why do we need annual blood screenings when NHS budgets are so tight?”
I explained that while finances are always a consideration, preventative care saves lives and money in the long run.
By spotting potential issues early, we avoid costly treatments and, more importantly, give patients the chance to live healthier lives.
🗣️Social media allows us to have these conversations at scale.
It’s an opportunity to educate, reassure, and strengthen trust between patients and their practice.
📈And with the incredible growth we’ve seen at Elmtree—from 6,000 doubling to over 13,500 patients in just two years—it’s clear that building relationships works.
👀So, keep an eye out for future posts on our Elm Tree Medical Centre page and my own.
We’re just getting started, and I can’t wait to see the impact this will have.
