As we step into the future, the skyline is no longer just a silhouette but a canvas for innovation, with steel playing the lead role in crafting the avant-garde facades of modern architecture. This resilient, versatile material has transcended its traditional boundaries, merging aesthetics with functionality to create buildings that are not only structures but breathtaking works of art. 🎨🏗️ Steel, with its sleek lines and luminous surfaces, allows architects to dream bigger and bolder. 🔧 From the twisting helix of the Turning Torso in Sweden to the ethereal, cloud-like curves of The Cloud in Seoul, steel's flexibility and strength have paved the way for designs that were once deemed impossible. The adaptability of steel goes beyond form; it allows for buildings that breathe, change with the light, and interact with their environment. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, with its intricate steel dome, creates a mesmerizing "rain of light," blending cultural heritage with futuristic design. In the realm of sustainability, steel facades are leading the charge, integrating solar panels and green technologies. The Edge in Amsterdam, touted as the world's greenest building, uses a steel structure not just for its innovative design but also for its role in achieving unparalleled energy efficiency. ⚡ #SteelInArchitecture #ModernMarvels #SustainableDesign #ArchitecturalInnovation #Skylines

Imagine a video where each frame is filled with an atmosphere immersing you into the world of exotic luxury and endless desert expanses. We were presented with an incredibly fascinating task — to showcase an alternative future of a residential complex in Dubai. Our efforts are aimed at creating a video that will allow you not just to observe, but to feel this harmony and beauty of high-class architecture rising above the desert, a fusion of cultures and architectural forms with the help of CGI. In the very heart of the city, where it is surrounded by iconic skyscrapers and the city buzzes and pulsates 24/7. And from the complex's terraces, no matter which side you step out on, this view is always with you. But it knows that home is personal space. So it stays behind the window when you need to be alone with your thoughts. It muffles the sounds when you want to go out to the water in the morning, feel the wind, and watch the city wake up. Politely lets you know when you're standing with friends on the terrace, and out of the corner of your eye, you're looking at the panorama. And when you're ready — always happy to welcome events in your nest and open all roads. In the building industry, "highrise" refers to a tall building or structure that typically has multiple floors, often exceeding a certain height threshold, such as 75 feet or more. Highrises are commonly found in urban areas and are usually constructed to accommodate residential, commercial, or mixed-use purposes. On the other hand, "facade" refers to the exterior facing of a building. It includes the front-facing design, materials, and aesthetics that give the building its distinctive appearance. The facade plays a crucial role in enhancing the building's visual appeal, as well as providing protection from environmental elements. Dubai’s Next Architectural Marvel: The Muraba Veil Dubai is set to push the boundaries of architecture with the upcoming Muraba Veil—a remarkably slender skyscraper set to soar 380 meters high while maintaining a depth of just 22.5 meters, the size of a single apartment. Designed by RCR Arquitectes for Muraba Properties LLC, this 73-story marvel will house 131 luxury residences, with prices starting at USD $5 million for a two-bedroom apartment, reaching up to $35 million for a four-bedroom duplex. The tower will feature a stainless steel "veil" exterior and a communal space inspired by desert dunes at its base. Muraba Properties describes the tower as “a daring, stop-you-in-your-tracks spectacle” that pushes the limits of modern design and engineering—even in Dubai’s extraordinary skyline. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025, with completion projected for December 2028. 📍 Notably, New York's 111W57 remains the world’s thinnest skyscraper with a 1:24 width-to-height ratio. #RankRizers #Dubai #DubaiArchitecture #MurabaVeil #LuxuryLiving #Skyscrapers #EngineeringMarvel

NATURE IS ARCHITECTURE'S UNSUNG MASTERMIND Nature's blueprints for design extend far beyond our imaginations. Iconic architectural marvels, present and future, owe their brilliance to lessons learned from the natural world. Let's explore how these structures have transcended mere inspiration, achieving biomimetic perfection: MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE (Dubai). Evoking the desert palm's resilience, this marvel's stainless steel facade mimics its adaptive nature. Inspired by the plant's response to harsh conditions, the panels open and close, regulating temperature naturally and reducing energy consumption. This biomimetic approach makes the museum a testament to sustainability and energy efficiency. GHERKIN BUILDING (London). Not just visually striking, this building reflects the efficiency of natural structures. Drawing inspiration from layered onions and spiraled sunflower seeds, its form optimizes energy use. The diamond facade, reminiscent of the precious gem, serves a dual purpose: enhancing aesthetics and reducing heat gain. THE EASTGATE CENTER (Zimbabwe). Termites might not seem like architectural gurus, but this building proves otherwise. Inspired by their temperature-regulating mounds, Eastgate utilizes a passive cooling system, minimizing reliance on air conditioning. Convection currents within the building act as its natural ventilation system, allowing fresh air to circulate effortlessly. ARTSCIENCE MUSEUM (Singapore). This architectural lotus blooms in Singapore, showcasing biomimicry in action. Its form and roof structure directly echo the flower's natural elegance, demonstrating the beauty and functionality that nature offers. MIRAMONTI (Philippines). Inspired by the intricate forms of tubular corals, this building embodies biomimicry by directly mimicking natural shapes. Its design goes beyond aesthetics, reflecting the inherent strength and efficiency found in nature's creations. Each of these structures illustrates how biomimicry can create sustainable, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing designs. Looking to nature isn't just about aesthetics; it's about harnessing the wisdom of millions of years of evolution to create buildings that perform better and exist in harmony with our environment. #Biomimicry #Architecture #DesignInspiration #LivingByDesign

'Change remains the sole constant in our world' —a paradoxical truth that resonates more deeply in these tumultuous times. In an era defined by disruption, embracing change isn't just advisable; it's essential for staying relevant and avoiding obsolescence. A revolution beckons, and this year—perhaps thanks to the lucky # 13 - it has ushered in transformative shifts. We kicked off this year by implementing necessary changes, addressing the intricacies in our processes and procedures while adhering to foundational principles. Additionally, we paved the path forward by honoring our employees, recognizing their contributions, and nurturing their growth. New departments and personnel have seamlessly integrated into our ranks. My mind is brimming with ideas, initiatives, strategies and processes - countless thoughts that would only exist in the realm of imagination were it not for our dedicated team. Personally, it's immensely gratifying to witness the flourishing of our organization and teams. I've had the privilege to learn and grow alongside my colleagues and feeling humbled by the opportunities to mentor them. I take great delight in seeing personal initiatives and aspirations come to fruition, buoyed by the faith shown in me by management and supported by my comrades and also for the acceptance of my contributions towards almost every aspect of the organization. Like any journey fraught with ups and downs, we can proudly reflect on how far we've come. The accolades and awards serve as testament to our progress and the fact that we are doing something right. This growth wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and contributions of our past and present colleagues, the relentless hard work of our site team, the unwavering commitment of our business partners and vendors, and, last but not least, the steadfast trust shown by both our longstanding and new clients. So here is to a year of changes, to give back ,to grow, to succeed. Staying true to our tag line - 'where space takes shape' we realize that we need to strengthen and shape our own space. So watch this space (pun intended) for new developments. az arts centre zurich, switzerland 2022 We envision the centre to be an Open Citadel that embraces all yet bears fortitude to safeguard the good foundation of zurichi’s value of peace, culture and education. It aspires to embody an oasis of happiness for everyone. Interspersed with a series of courtyards, the seemingly fort-like building is perforated with meaningful spaces that opens out to nature. Through designing around a series of courtyard where nature can permeate deeply into the interior spaces, the openness thus provides a comfortable sanctuary that welcomes all to stay and engage in friendly discourses with one another. These interspersed spaces allow for a series of varied environments, moments and ambience for everyday discourse, relaxation and engagement. Beyond a pleasant space to linger, the courtyards also allow one to observe the elements of nature and provide an alternative setting for contemplation. Through communing with nature, it inspires reflection of self and world and heightening inner transformation. @mehrazffrahani @pkba.ir #design #architecture #artcenter #armanihotel #switzerland🇨🇭 #interiorarchitecture #dubai #unbuiltarchitecture design #interiordesigners #architects #interior #architect #zurich #architecturaldesign #mehrazffrahani #Architekturdesign #Innenarchitektur #Architektur #Architekt #Museum #Aussenarchitektur #Kunsthalle #Kunst

Building on the exhibition boards previously uploaded, this presentation delves into the design ideas and principles for the design elements and spatial planning of the project in greater detail. Key Highlights Include: Community Collaboration Spaces: These spaces are designed to foster shared authority and active participation from the Quapaw and Caddo communities. Cultural and Emotional Resonance: By utilizing representative materials and symbolic forms, the design enhances the connection to Indigenous heritage. Non-Western Centered Design: The layout emphasizes elements that align with Indigenous cosmologies and communal practices. Flexibility and Impermanence: Featuring minimal fixed walls and modular furniture, the design allows for adaptive use of spaces. This presentation further elaborates on these elements to showcase a comprehensive approach to decolonizing design in Indigenous museums. #InteriorDesign #SCAD #DecolonizingDesign #CulturalHeritage #KaunitzYeungArchitecture #MuseumDesign
