Don't say you want a healthy work culture to only organise alcohol-based bonding. It's lazy. Not all of your team drink. Not all of your team will enjoy this. It won't cultivate genuine, meaningful relationships. Not all of your team will be comfortable in this setting. Get a little creative, have some fun with the planning... Ask what your team wants to do. Here's some ideas, from an events agency owner: → Gym classes → Theatre shows → Escape rooms → Go Ape → Self-defence class → Foreign food tasting  → City tour → Team building activities and more! "Corporate bookings at pickleball clubs across the US spiked in June from the previous month, according to PodPlay, a sports venue booking platform." "Individual pickleball club operators back this up, saying that company events are increasing exponentially. Ace Pickleball Club, with locations in various states, has had a steady flow of corporate gatherings, co-founder Joe Sexton said, with event requests at new locations piling up even before they open." SOURCE: Bloomberg In a time of tumultuous change and economic turbulence, team building firms are still getting requests like this. "We are currently assisting one of our clients in finalizing their full-year calendar for team-building activities and would appreciate your input. They are looking to offer 50 unique activities over the weekends, with one activity scheduled each weekend..." "The activities should be engaging, challenging, and offer an element of excitement. They can be either indoor or outdoor, and past examples have included horseback riding, watersports, hiking, obstacle courses, wall climbing, and similar adventurous activities..." 🛑 I'm not going to do yet another post sounding the alarm about why this is a misguided approach. Instead, I'm going to ask a couple questions and listen.
