We join the world on this #worldfoodday to champion for the #righttofood While African in the recent years have seen a rise in the innovative approaches and scientific research combined with traditional approach to agriculture in the aim of solving hunger, it is still not enough, as explained by World Economic Forum . Despite Africa resourcefulness in terms of year-round favourable climate, vast tracts of unused lands, and readily available human resource, the continent still imports $55 billion worth of food annually. Worse, if the innovation in Agriculture is not enhanced further, the value is expected to double by the year 2030 —the deadline for the United Nations Sustainable Develooment Goals. On this #worldfoodday, as an organization of young Agricultural, Environmental, soil, and water Engineers in Africa, we reflect on the urgent need to combat hunger and build sustainable food systems across Africa through science-based agriculture. We appreciate the effort and role played by international organizations (United Nations, FAO, The World Bank, International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), among many others) and non-profit organizations in pushing for sustainable Agriculture and food systems in the continent. We at Kola & Manyala Agricultural Engineering Group (KMAEG) believe that with the right blend of science-based Agriculture, innovation, and collaboration, we can empower farmers, improve productivity, and reduce food insecurity. We are committed as young Engineers in the Agriculture, soil, and water field to play our part by promoting sustainable practices, supporting smallholders, and partnering with governments and organizations to create a food secure Africa. Together, we can transform Agriculture, fight hunger, and nourish the future continent. Attached is a short 1 min video.

"Innovative Growth. Sustainable Future"-Smart Dynamic Farming It is now time for the rise of Africa to take its rightful place in the world with regard to agriculture. We at Smart Dynamic Farming firmly believe that it is not only about feeding Africa but also about the time to feed the world. We are leading from our Innovation Incubation Center, Jimma University (JU-IIC) in driving this transformation to make this vision real. We are committed to the realization of an Africa, as has been envisioned in the AU's Agenda 2063 and United Nations SDGs, together with the agricultural aspirations of all African nations, where agriculture forms the backbone for economic growth, food security, and sustainable development. It has been the expression of the African Union Agenda 2063 that it envisions a self-reliant and prosperous Africa, with every country playing a vital role in the global food systems. This echoes in the UN's SDG 2, aimed at achieving zero hunger through sustainable, resilient agriculture. At Smart Dynamic Farming, we lead from the front, introducing innovative methodologies of farming that not only empower communities and unlock Africa's vast potential but also let Africa take center stage in farming up not only food but a future wherein we feed the world. We call on Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ambassadors, Kings, Queens, and citizens from Africa and the diaspora to join hands with us in this critical mission.
