Building a solid #foundation for the future as young kids experience real coding missions. How do you make the pre-coders #collaborate with the juniors? We gave a challenge to the pre-coders (beginners who do building blocks and other relevant activities) to build their houses while for the juniors (Scratch conversant learners aged 7-9 yrs) had to build their robots, have them with abilities to trace a pathway and be fitted with a grabber for carrying different objects. They were also to ensure the robots have obstacle sensors. At the #mission time, the facilitators marked the pathway to be followed using a black tape, the pre-coders then put their houses at strategic points where items were to be delivered and it was the juniors duty to deliver the different items by #programming their #robots while taking care not to destroy the houses.
