Each episode covers a different topic or subject, including animal species, conservation projects, photography or even the work of individuals that have dedicated their lives to preserve nature. This first episode is about the Iberian wolf, where nature photographer João Ferreira talks about his incredible work and about the wolf, the species he has been working with for the last few years. . If you liked it, please share, so more people can learn more about this beautiful species. . Ep.1 - THE CALL OF THE WOLF The elusive Iberian wolf is an endemic subspecies of the Iberian Peninsula, which has persisted in the Portuguese landscape during thousands of years of intense human occupation. Once occupied the entire length of Portugal, but nowadays it’s only present in some parts of the north and it is classified with the conservation status “Endangered”. The wolf has always been an animal that arouses contradictory feelings in humans. But, is the wolf as dangerous as the children's tales would have us believe? In this episode, João Ferreira, a Portuguese nature photographer from Braga, who has dedicated himself to photographing the Iberian wolf, affirms that this big carnivore is not a dangerous species and he will tell everything he knows about this beautiful subspecies. https://lnkd.in/gPhEYBxm

What does it mean when you hear a wolf howl? In some Native American cultures, hearing a wolf howl is seen as a sign of impending change or transformation, and may even be considered a message from a spirit guide. In some European folklore, seeing a wolf is also seen as a bad omen. https://lnkd.in/dQqhQYvw. The Wolf Symbolism The Wolf represents loyalty, family, communication, wisdom, teaching, and intelligence. In nature, Wolves are pack animals with excellent communication and body language skills needed for hunting and protection. https://lnkd.in/d4SsgRg5. Wolves howl to communicate their location to other pack members and to ward off rivaling packs from their territory. It's also been found that wolves will howl to their own pack members out of affection, as opposed to anxiety. Wolf packs tend to claim large territories for themselves, especially if prey is scarce.
What is the superstition about seeing or hearing wolves? What is supposed to happen if someone sees or hears a wolf?
