When should you diversify channels? There’s no on-size-fits-all answer, however I like to use the following as a general framework: (Based on monthly spend): < $100K ➡️ Meta & Google $100-$300K ➡️ add TikTok & Bing $300-$600K ➡️ add YouTube $600-$1M ➡️ add TV Add affiliate as soon as you can. This is obviously simplified and will vary based on the brand and product. When do you start looking for new channels? What other channels would you prioritize?

I wanted to share some insights I've gathered from observing the latest trends on Google. It's fascinating to see how sports dominate the trending topics, with at least 12 out of the 20 trending posts being sports-related. One topic that caught my attention is the Charlotte News, which is currently the top trending topic (as of April 29th) really sad story. Because there's much traffic moving to local sites and searches in the area it creates a great SEO opportunity because North Carolina is changing its legislation around iGaming, which presents an auspicious market opportunity. Based on historical trends, whenever a state opens up its iGaming legislation, there's a surge in gambling activity, at least initially. With 13 out of the 20 trending topics being sports-related, there's a goldmine of opportunities to create effective outreach strategies and content marketing campaigns. Worldwide, the Champions League is the number one trending subject today, indicating the global interest in this event. It's fascinating to observe how people who actively search for sports-related content are often more engaged and interested in genuine, non-trivial topics, as opposed to fleeting social media trends. This presents a compelling case for iGaming projects and affiliate programs to capitalize on this heightened interest. For instance, Ezekiel Elliott is currently ranked as the second trending topic in the United States, highlighting the buzz around sports personalities and events. I had an insightful discussion with a friend yesterday about the current state of sports and its impact on iGaming. While the NBA playoffs are in full swing, the league has been losing some fan interest due to various factors, such as perceived drama. However, this lull in the main sports seasons presents an opportunity for iGaming companies and affiliates to make strategic moves. With the NBA, MLB, and soccer not dominating the headlines at the moment, this slower period in the sports calendar could be the perfect time to launch new SEO initiatives and try them out with other main events like the Olympics, the Euro and yes yes the NBA playoffs, revamp affiliate programs, or introduce innovative offerings. People are actively seeking sports-related content, making it an ideal time to capture their attention and interest. So, whether you're an iGaming operator, an affiliate, or a marketer in the sports industry, staying on top of these trends and capitalizing on the heightened interest during these transitional periods could be a game-changer for your business.
