So today challenge I’ll be talking about User center design. User-center design (UCD) by placing users at the center of the design process, UCD aims to create products that are intuitive, efficient, and satisfying to use, ultimately leading to better user experiences and outcomes. In user-centered design, designers use a mixture of investigative methods and tools (e.g., surveys and interviews) and generative ones (e.g., brainstorming)to develop an understanding of user needs. 19/20 Days Learning Challenge with Africa Agility Foundation Day 1 Week 7 class with Coach Orenaiya Babatunde Ademola For this class,we dived into the world of Design Systems. A Design System is a collection of reusable components with clearly defined standards for use. These components combine pattern libraries, colors, and fonts with standardized design principles to help companies achieve consistent visual design at scale. Design Systems embed these building blocks of design into teams and workflows to create consistent user experiences even when design is distributed among numerous designers and other creators. Design Systems usually includes Brand guide, Design principles, Marketing style guides and Product design tooling and patterns. What are the benefits of a design system? A good design system helps designers, UI engineers, marketers, product teams, and developers work smarter and faster while producing better results. Key benefits of design systems include: 1. Speed 2. Scale 3. Brand consistency 4. Usability/UX design 5. Accessibility 6. Collaboration and talent retention As a Designer,you have to carry your colleagues in other fields and also other designers along when building a product,so they would under what your design compose of, without having to explain to that,they should be able to understand your design and fellow designers should be able to design screens that would look the same and feel like it was made by just one person. Just had an amazing conversation with GDSC UMaT Chapter, a group of students eager to dive into the world of product design. Enrolling in the UI/UX beginner to expert course offered by GUVI, I discovered a unique aspect that set it apart: the instruction was delivered in native languages, a refreshing approach that resonated deeply with me. Balancing my coursework commitments, I dedicated quality time to delve into the intricacies of UI/UX design under the guidance of the exceptional instructor, Bapusaheb Patil. The course, meticulously crafted, catered to beginners and seasoned learners alike. It was a journey of discovery, filled with invaluable insights and practical skills. As the course culminated, I undertook the capstone project with enthusiasm, crafting a prototype for a scoreboard. Infusing my creativity, I transformed the familiar IPL into New Design, adding a unique twist to the design process. However, amidst the excitement, a valuable lesson emerged: mastery is not achieved in a mere week. It's a journey of continuous learning, practice, and refinement. Through diligent effort, project work, and the cultivation of a robust portfolio, mastery becomes attainable, paving the way for growth and advancement. I extend my gratitude to GUVI Geek Networks, IITM Research Park, for providing an enriching learning experience. I just wrapped up another incredible week-long Akendi training session with a fantastic group of students! One of my favourite parts of these sessions is seeing how quickly the students learn. During the week, we spend half the day exploring the principles and process of interaction design and wrap it up with a one-hour design challenge. The goal is to push the students to ideate a solution quickly based on the design requirements. It's fast and messy, but it is always interesting to see what they create under pressure. I wanted to highlight one student's work, not because her wireframes were the most detailed or refined, but because of how she approached the challenge. She took the time to define a flow, explore multiple concepts, and quickly sketch out a wireframe. This wasn't about creating a polished final product but exploring the possibilities and evaluating the options. Creating deliverables is easy; creating the best final deliverable for the problem takes the proper process. I'm so proud of the effort and creativity I saw this week, and I can't wait to see how these students continue to grow as designers! #InteractionDesign #UXTraining #DesignProcess #Wireframes #Ideation #UXEducation

Design Thinking consists of four main pillars:  1. Empathy: Understanding user needs and wants through observation, research, and conversation.  2. Definition: Formulate the problem clearly and concisely, focusing on the user's needs.  3. Ideation: Generate many ideas for possible solutions, without limitations.  4. Finally! I am so lost with words on how to fully describe my experiences, challenges and stumbling blocks I faced during this bootcamp. If you are wondering what bootcamp I am referring to, I still remember posting my new beginning of a new course in design, #productdesign. Briefly, I want to say it was a journey with so many hurdles. Permit me to say this, this journey might have ended but I aspire for more opportunities to keep growing. I will be participating in a 21days product design challenge on LinkedIn. This challenge was offered by our amazing facilitators Folashade Adeola-Adegbite, Oluwasekemi Adeyemo, and Esther O. My first challenge is 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 Day 1: Share your key learning from the Ladies in Tech Bootcamp In summary of the lessons learnt. Three major lessons I would want to highlight here👇. 1. Consistency: This entails the uniformed way our design looks. It also connotes a value of "always" praticing on a daily basis. 2. Right Attitude towards Feedbacks:The right way to react when we get feedbacks. We should be open to design critiques and react to it with wisdom. 3. Collaboration: This in itself cannot be more than emphasized here cause it is very essential.
