Colleagues were delighted to be on campus in Maynooth to discuss strategic priorities for the implementation of a new Performance Agreement 2024-2028 between the Higher Education Authority and Maynooth University (MU). The agreement sets out MU’s proposed contribution to outcomes and impact in key national priority areas under the 4 pillars of the System Performance Framework – Teaching & Learning, Research & Innovation, Access & Participation, and Engagement. UC San Diego Named Nation’s 6th Best Public University by U.S. News & World Report UC San Diego has once again been named the sixth best public university in the country, according to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings released today. Overall, UC San Diego ranked No. 29 on the complete list of over 400 of the nation’s colleges.

St Clare’s celebrated yet another year of incredible GCSE results with an overall pass rate of 100%. Excellence was demonstrated within the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) related subjects with 100% A*/B in Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science, and 100% A*/C in Biology, Maths, Art and Graphic Communication. Excellence was also achieved with 100% A*/B in Business Studies and Geography, and 100% A*/C in PE. Almost 53% of grades were A*/A compared to the UK national average of 19% (secondary schools) and 48% (independent schools). 

Merrimack's evolution into a leading research university continues with plans for a new academic building on campus slated to open in spring 2026. The two-floor, 19,205-square-foot facility will significantly increase Merrimack’s academic space and provide more modern active learning environments for the College’s growing student population. Talking to University World News about the just finished Summit of Furture.
