TU Delft Campus’ Post

💸 Looking at the list of Dutch start-ups that realised the biggest investments last month, two trends can not be ignored: most are focussing on sustainable innovations and over half of them are from Delft. Strong evidence the Delft ecosystem is flourishing, growing and realising sustainable change. Examples of Delft start-ups causing a stir: 🔥 Ore Energy, working on a new type of low-cost energy storage system using iron, air and water, signed up €10 million, helping them boost large-scale production. 🔥 Powall aims to improve batteries and fuel cells with their proprietary ultra-thin nano coating. It raised €3 million from Norwegian Sandwater, Invest-NL and the EU fund EIT RawMaterials. 🔥 zepp.solutions likewise realised €3 million for their pioneering hydrogen fuel cell technology. The Energietransitiefonds Rotterdam and a private investor are helping the start-up scaling up production. 🔥 Newton Energy Solutions raised €2.5 million to help speed up the product launch of their NEStore Boiler: a novel system that helps keeping water warm for weeks with minimal energy consumption - bridging the existing challenges of storing excess solar energy. 🔥 Q*BIRD B.V. likewise raised €2.5 million for their quantum cryptography hardware and software. The start-up aims to improve safety and repel cyberattacks in the quantum era. 🔥 SLAM Orthopedic wraps up the list and realised €2 million for their surgical sensor/measurement system, improving accuracy for surgeons, saving time and waste when placing implants or screws. Investment came from Rising Star Venture Partners and the Zeeuws Participatie Fonds. Congratulations to all involved! Source: https://lnkd.in/eKb_68rG
