What are the main functions and inspection contents of crane safety hooks? Author: China Crane Network Date: June 20, 2024 13:17:08 A safety hook is one of the important components to ensure the safe operation of a crane. So, what is the role of a crane safety hook? What are the types? A single main beam crane, as lifting heavy objects is carried out on one side of the main beam, generates a tipping moment on the trolley due to the heavy objects. The anti tipping moment generated by the vertical anti gauge wheel or horizontal anti rail wheel keeps the trolley balanced and cannot tip over. However, relying solely on this method cannot guarantee safety in situations such as wind disasters, external impacts, wheel breakage, and maintenance. Therefore. This type of crane should be equipped with safety hooks. The safety hook is designed into different structures depending on the type of car and rail wheel. Inspection of crane safety hooks 1. When the car runs along the full length of the main beam, there should be no jamming or scraping between the safety hook and the track and the main beam web. 2. The gap between the safety hook and the track should meet the design requirements. 3. The bolts should not be loose or misaligned, the welds should not crack, and the safety hooks should not have any abnormal deformation or damage. During inspection, functional inspection should be the basic method for visual inspection and operational testing.

Ships are equipped with a variety of navigational instruments that ensure safe and efficient travel. Among the most critical are navigation lights and searchlights. These instruments are vital for nightime operation and during reduced visibility conditions such as fog or heavy rain. Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the proper functioning of these equipment. Regular inspections ensure that all lights are operating to standards and that floodlights are ready for use when needed. Defective equipment is quickly repaired or replaced to prevent failures that could compromise safety. Count on DSF to keep this security up to date. #DSF #PetroliferousPlatforms #ShipSupplier #ShipMaintenance #ShipSupplier #Port #PortofSantos #SpareParts #Provisions #NauticalCharts #Publications #FireFighting #Refrigerants #Deck&EngineStores #Welding&CuttingEquipment #EnviromentalProtection #Gases #Chemicals #SafetyEquipment Your one stop ship supplier www.dsf.com.br

Day's information ℹ️ Truck Crane is a type of mobile crane mounted on a truck, used to transport and lift heavy loads at construction sites, maintenance sites, ports, and other sites that require lifting large materials and equipment. Features of Truck Crane: - Mobility: It can be easily moved from one location to another thanks to its installation on a truck. - Flexibility: It has a telescopic arm that can be extended and shortened to reach loads in different locations. - Stability: It is equipped with side supports to stabilize it and prevent it from tipping over during lifting. Uses of Truck Crane: - Lifting heavy materials at construction sites. - Loading and unloading containers at ports. - Installing and maintaining tall structures such as communication towers. - Rescue operations to lift vehicles or heavy materials. Mechanism of Operation: The truck crane relies on a hydraulic system to generate the necessary force to move the arm and lift loads, and uses cables and pulleys to guide and control loads. The truck crane is a practical and versatile solution for use in various jobs that require lifting and transporting heavy loads quickly and efficiently. Any feedback is welcome.

International Convention on Load Lines, 1966, as Amended by the Protocol of 1988 - Annex I - Regulations for Determining Load Lines - Chapter II - Conditions of Assignment of Freeboard. Regulation 13 - Position of hatchways, doorways, and ventilators. For the purpose of these regulations, two (2) positions of hatchways, doorways and ventilators are defined as follows: ➡️ Position 1: Upon exposed freeboard and raised quarter decks, and upon exposed superstructure decks situated forward of a point located a quarter of the ship's length from the forward perpendicular. ➡️ Position 2: Upon exposed superstructure decks situated abaft a quarter of the ship's length from the forward perpendicular and located at least one standard height of superstructure above the freeboard deck. Upon exposed superstructure decks situated forward of a point located a quarter of the ship's length from the forward perpendicular and located at least two standard heights of superstructure above the freeboard deck.

It is important that the maritime authority requires cargo terminals to ensure that vessels do not exceed the load line appropriate for the zone in which they are located. Let us remember that the freeboard is also defined as the vessel’s reserve buoyancy, so an overloaded vessel could result in the ship being unable to withstand rolling in the event of rough seas, potentially leading to capsizing or severely compromising its structural safety.

Safety Standards and Testing: Ensuring Secure Transport 🔒⚙️ Safety is paramount in the design and manufacturing of trailer tanks. These tanks undergo rigorous testing to meet stringent safety standards. Did you know? - Trailer tanks are tested for pressure, leakage, and structural integrity. - They must withstand pressures up to 25% higher than their normal operating conditions to ensure durability. Regular inspections and maintenance further ensure the safety of these tanks on the road. #SafetyFirst #TrailerTanks #TestingStandards
