Land of Awasomeness Last week our family visited #China to celebrate the birthday of our little one at #UniversalBeijingResort. Few advices to visitors: 1. Buy 2-days ticket. One day is not really enough to try all rides and visit all pavilions. 2. It could be a good idea to buy tickets with reserved rides to escape queues. In average one queue takes 40 minutes. 3. If you plan to go to #BeijingZoo avoid to visit it at weekend. It is anormous crowd even in mid of week. 4. Install and register in WeChat and AliPay. Credit cards could not work at local supermarkets. 5. We had used DiDi taxi for movement within city.

After spending 10 days in China, my rating of the destination as follows: Staff at hotels, shops and restaurants: 1. Enthusiasm: 👍👍👍👍👍 2. Attitude: 👍👍👍👍👍 3. Product knowledge:👍👍👍👍👍 4. Efficiency: 👍👍👍👍👍 4. Affordability: 👍👍👍👍👍 My encounter at DJI store in Wuxi and Shanghai Tower blew my mind. The staff asked me to add their wechat so that if l encounter any issues with the products l purchased, l can get in touch with them for assistance which l did and they responded within minutes. The hotel concierge helped to book a car using his wechat account. When l had difficulties in using my Alipay, staff at stores are super patience to help with the transactions. TRULY no request is too big, No detail is too small 👏

Did you know Cafe Amazon, Thailand's leading local coffee brand, is owned by PTT Public Company Limited? This means you'll often find a convenient Cafe Amazon next to a PTT gas station on your travels! ☕️ But their expansion strategy goes beyond gas stations! Cafe Amazon also targets high-traffic locations like: • EV charging stations ⚡️ • 7-Eleven convenience stores • Food courts offering quick bites • Shopping malls for on-the-go coffee fixes ️ Their focus on convenience stores and gas/EV stations makes perfect sense. Thailand has a massive population on the road, with over 60 million registered motorcycles and cars! ️ This high vehicle ownership translates to frequent gas station visits, making them prime locations for coffee on-the-go. Curious about competitor strategies in Thailand's booming coffee market? Let's chat! https://lnkd.in/gPmf8kuZ #CafeAmazon #Thailand #Coffee #coffeemarket #ExpansionStrategy #CPG #Retail #Asia #GIS #data #analysis

Getting McDonald's delivery at a subway exit in Beijing? 😱🇨🇳🍔 To be 'China-spoiled' is to enjoy the convenience of online platforms delivering anything, anywhere. ✌️😆 ❗️In China, as modern food delivery mechanisms become more and more advanced and convenient, many people use food delivery services to free themselves from time-consuming and tedious household chores. Food delivery platforms in China are BIG. 1️⃣ Meituan, with its distinctive yellow brand color, is a leading player in China's last-mile delivery sector. Notably commanding a 69% market share in a market worth over 1 trillion yuan, Meituan excels in efficient and timely delivery services, crucial in China's e-commerce and logistics ecosystem. Its main competitor, 2️⃣ Eleme, owned by Alibaba and recognisable by its blue uniforms, also offers similar services, but Meituan's varied offerings set it apart. Both companies are significant forces in the market. What's your take? 🤓👇 Not sponsored by McDonald's, but hey I'm open it 😂 #China #fooddelivery #supplychain #logistics #lastmile #takeaway #ecommerce #beijing #subway #mcdonalds _____ 🛎 Follow my hashtag #Danirnautalks on LinkedIn for daily China Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics insights 👇 Share your thoughts and let's chat in the comments below

Meituan Expands in the Middle East with KeeTa Delivery App Chinese food delivery giant, Meituan, is heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with plans to launch its KeeTa platform, according to recent reports by Bloomberg. This will mark Meituan’s first venture outside of China. This move follows the successful launch of KeeTa in Hong Kong last year. Saudi Arabia presents a promising market, with the country planning to invest trillions of dollars in tourism and commercial hubs, and with the online food delivery market in the region expected to grow annually. Once KeeTa enters the Middle East market, they are expected to compete with other well-established players like Jahez International Company, Delivery Hero's talabat and HungerStation | هنقرستيشن, and Uber Technologies-backed Careem. Will Meituan replicate its Hong Kong success, where it surpassed rival foodpanda by securing a 43% share of the food delivery market (based on order volume)? We’re definitely excited to find out! #Meituan #KeeTa #FoodDelivery #MiddleEast #DeliveryApp

The Taiwan Fair Trade Commission (TFTC) has recently made a decision regarding UberEats' proposed acquisition of Foodpanda Taiwan, sending a clear message without explicitly stating it. In this case, TFTC applied a stringent review process, especially when the transaction involves services and goods for everyday consumers, similar to previous instances where the commission upheld a strict standard in four attempts (all rejected) of acquisition involving prominent karaoke brands. Furthermore, TFTC emphasized that even with commitments from the acquiring party, market dominance remains a critical factor. In the UberEats/Foodpanda transaction, the estimated combined market share of 90% raised concerns, indicating that individual pledges may not alter the overall competitive landscape significantly. While differing opinions may exist among peer competition lawyers, the trend suggests a consistent approach by TFTC in safeguarding market competition. It remains to be seen whether UberEats Taiwan will pursue an appeal in the administrative court following this decision.

When you compare Jumia to Konga, I can tell you that the margin is quite high. Things on Jumia appear to be more expensive than on Konga, but you need to return items in Jumia vs. in Konga to know that even though it’s more expensive at Jumia, the return process is actually seamless. I'm even more comfortable with Jumia than Konga. In Konga, you have to make a video about the item that is not working and send it to them, and they give you 5 days. I know business is tough, but the item I just bought might be the most expensive thing I will ever buy from Konga, no matter how cheap it is on their platform. For anything I need a guarantee for return, I stick to Jumia. #LessonLearned #CustomerExperience #OnlineShopping #Jumia #Konga #ReturnPolicy #CustomerSatisfaction #Ecommerce #Trust #Convenience #ShoppingExperience #GeorgeNwogu Art
