On 22 May, tunES project successfully hosted the event 'Tuning EPC and SRI. Practices and methods to analyse national challenges'. The discussions on EPC and SRI provided insights into overcoming national challenges in energy performance. At the event, Georg Vogt introduced the tunES approach and the key outputs of the project. Francesca Pagliaro and Manuela Chriti representing national Energy Agencies shared enlightening examples of national EPC Problem Trees. A big thank you to all speakers for their invaluable contributions: roberta boniotti for great introduction of ENEA and Mediterranean Association of national agencies João Cleto for presenting EnR Building Working Group activities and plans in EPBD as well as the SRI2MARKET assessment tool Katarina Kosutova for sharing with us the support actions provided by the SRI support team Andrei Vladimir Lițiu for showing the results on intergation of SRI, EPC and other tools Sara Momi for presenting the SmarterEPC Hub for EPC and SRI professionals. Thank you to all participants for your engaging discussions and eagerness to drive progress in the field of energy performance of buildings. Here's the third instalment of our Summer Contract update. Our friends over at Wood have been busy recently. This long-standing BCECA member is advancing three carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Wood has successfully assessed the technical feasibility of the Trudvang, Luna, and Havstjerne CCS projects. Together, they can store up to 21 million tonnes of CO2 annually, the equivalent of nearly half of Norway’s total CO2 emissions in 2023. https://lnkd.in/en7WPrPj In a further development, Shell has chosen Wood to deliver pre-FEED services for its innovative ‘Blue Horizons’ project in Oman. The project will produce low-carbon blue hydrogen and ammonia for local and international markets and capture and store CO2 from production. The pioneering development is expected to be the first large-scale project in Oman. https://lnkd.in/e5M_nHJX Meet representatives from Wood and across the UK's engineering contracting community at our fourth virtual annual conference on Wednesday, 2 October 2024. Join over 300 delegates in the energy transformation conversation. Visit our conference hub for programme information and free registration. https://lnkd.in/eb7kZGpA

BLACK & VEATCH TO IDENTIFY CARBON CAPTURE OPPORTUNITIES IN VIETNAM ⚡️🤝🎯 💡 Commissioned by the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (#VPI), Black & Veatch is exploring the deployment of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (#CCUS) technology in coal-fired power plants in Vietnam. The company will study carbon-cutting technologies at three PVN-owned plants: Vung Ang 1, Song Hau 1, and Thai Binh 2, each with a capacity of 2 x 600 MW. 💡 This marks the first CCUS #study on #coal_fired_power_plants in Vietnam and aims to inform the national CCUS roadmap and legal framework. The study will involve preparing a CCUS technology assessment, proposing suitable technologies for each plant, and developing preliminary designs for the CCUS units, including strategies for integration with existing facilities. 👉👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/g8Tp6ftt #pewg_update #pewg_carbon_capture

The coming year 2025 should be a classical time for #Renewable_Energy growth in the world_ we need that very inspiration here in PNG provinces. We can't wait for #GoPNG #energy ventures to reach out to us, as most of their #petro incentives are aimed at urban regions rather than balancing the rural where most #resources are today. Our #PNGH2 industries must be self reliant shall we dare take up #frontierH2 #projects in the #provinces beyond 2025. This is how we at the end of the petro supplies chain think today _
