We presented our joint product, Aerial Green Analysis, at SportsInnovation 2024. But what exactly is it, and how does it work? The video offers more information. Aerial Green Analysis combines smart farming with multispectral imaging technologies and sports broadcasting. With roots in the sports broadcasting business, Birds Camera Solutions GmbH joined forces with multispectral camera manufacturer Agrowing and the AI-based image analyst Fraunhofer IGD.  Together, we offer an AI-supported solution for analyzing turf in stadiums for football or any other turf-related sports to determine the turf’s vitality, damages, and diseases.  Pix4D provides augmented reality solutions for smartphones to integrate and utilize the results of our analysis in the daily work of greenkeepers to keep the turf in a good and safe condition. 🚀 New Project: Golf Ball Tracking and Counting with YOLOv8 & ByteTrack! ⛳ Excited to share my latest project, where I developed a solution for detecting, tracking, and counting golf balls in video footage! Using a custom-trained YOLOv8 model for object detection and ByteTrack for object tracking, I built a system capable of: - Detecting multiple golf balls - Tracking objects across frames 🔄 - Counting balls as they cross a predefined line using a line zone 📊 Here's what the project involved: - Custom Dataset: We created and annotated a dataset focused on detecting golf ball defects, managed via Roboflow. - Model Integration: Utilized YOLOv8 for ball detection, coupled with the Supervision library for real-time tracking and annotation. - Counting Objects: Defined custom zones for tracking and counting objects as they cross the line. Football Analytics using Ultralytics YOLOv8x and byte tracker. The key footage is not from Television but instead of amateurs football play. it comes with ultimate challenges of different camera angle, FOV, players mixed color shirts, small ball size, 2d projection of 3d world, etc. Key Objectives: - Players, ball, net detection and tracking. - Players distances covered - Player highlight with ball possession. - Extracting goal highlights The model is still under more improvement.
