𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗷𝗶, 𝐈𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟒, most of the Indians including me became blind by the 𝐟𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 of news channels and the fake 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐈𝐀𝐂) movement of 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐞 that we completely forgot the work you did. ➡️ saving India from 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟏 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. ➡️ 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 (𝐒𝐄𝐙) 2005, which enacted IT companies grow. ➡️ The 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 to 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭 of 2005, which promoted transparency in government institutions. ➡️ 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐡𝐢 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭 (𝐌𝐆𝐍𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐀) 2005, which provided livelihood, sustenance and employment to poors. ➡️ Signing the 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐨-𝐔𝐒 𝐍𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 2008 which made India as one of the 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐍𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲. ➡️ You ended the 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐨-𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 of India in 2012. ➡️ India clocked it's 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐃𝐏 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 at 𝟏𝟎.𝟎𝟖% in 2006-2007. ➡️ saved India from infamous 2008 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. ➡️𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭 2009 which aims towards providing free and compulsory elementary education to all. ➡️ You lifted 27 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲. ➡️ Taken India to 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝'𝐬 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲. These are just a few of your achievements. You have done a lot to our Nation. In return, we voted you out. Now most of us realised our 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 & also realised that our 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 is suffering from 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐥 and 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 crisis. Our 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 has been 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭, the 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 has become 𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. 𝐈𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐝, 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐝.

Where Is The Governance In India? 🤔 This below attached, image with the printed words, shows the governance standards in today's India. Every "sane, good and talented" citizen of India must be scared, very scared. Others are cheering about this whole saga. Unimaginable level of collective insanity. It is very simple, in India, You Are On Your Own. And The VP of India says - a new disease has started in India about studying abroad. Let me tell you, not only study, all "good and talented" Indian citizens must settle down in "civilized and developed" nations on first opportunity. I was born 16 years after the British handed over governance of India to Indians and moved out. Yet, the Indians who replaced them never governed Bharat with "Bharatiya Jeevan Paddhatis." Like the British, they ruled us. Their names may have been Bharatiya, but their mindset was British. India was the label given to Bharat by people from foreign lands, and we were expected by the inheritors of British rule to merely continue furthering it. Our politicians, media and our entertainment industry were complicit in this. It is only now that Bharat has shed its colonial mindset and has become the 5th largest economy in the world. And in a world riddled with war and strife, India is the only country that is saying: "This is not the era of war." Bharat has the potential o lead the world. So have the Bharatiyas. A Decolonized Bharat. Without the prison of British Classroom Education. In times to come, we will be one of the biggest markets of the world. Also, one that poses several challenges in shape of newer products and stronger competition. One where the mettle of young managers (a few of them I have the pleasure to teach) will be tested. And I have no doubt that they will come out with flying colors. #INDIA’S #GROWTH: I did my undergrad from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya. One of my #NRI #classmates, now in #USA, wrote in our #WhatsApp group during political discussions: “Nice to see spirited conversation/debate, as end of the day I think everyone in this group is a well wisher of India and of course our college friends too. Here’s my observation from the outside: #India is truly an #incredible #country blessed with the challenges of mind boggling #diversity and long #history. It is truly a #miracle, as in many other places it would have ended up in a million civil wars. Despite all these #challenges, India is poised to become the #third #largest #economy in the world. It is a wonderful #achievement, which could not have been achieved without unity at a basic level. Is it perfect, of course not, but there’s great potential if one can build a common #platform/#code for India’s #growth in the next 75 years. I know it is easier said than done, because #uniformity and #common set of rules for everyone is misconstrued for being anti-secular. If India can find a way to achieve this, even if it takes the next 75 years, by taking pragmatic and small steps, it would put all the wood behind one arrow.” It would be wonderful to hear from our friends, of any religion, on how this can be achieved by putting the country first. 🙏

Reflections on "The Era of Darkness" and the Decline of Cultural Rigour in India Reading Shashi Tharoor's The Era of Darkness is a stark reminder of India’s once-glorious past—an era marked by stunning architecture, a strong work ethic, and an economy that contributed 27% to the global GDP under the Mughals. It’s hard to fathom how a nation with such remarkable cultural and intellectual capital has, over centuries, witnessed a slow decay in its value systems, education, and societal ethos. One cannot ignore the role that systemic loopholes in our education and selection processes have played in this decline. The mediocrity that pervades these systems today threatens to undermine the very foundations upon which our nation was built. The rigor that once defined us has given way to complacency, and with it, the erosion of the cultural and intellectual wealth that was our hallmark. As we navigate the complexities of modernity, it is imperative that we reflect on these issues. How do we restore the rigour, creativity, and values that once made India a beacon of knowledge and culture? It begins with re-examining our educational paradigms and demanding excellence, not just in academic pursuits but in the moral and ethical fabric of our society. The tarnished image of India today is not just a result of external factors but also of internal failures. Why is India living in the past? India has a rich and glorious history, but the problem is not valuing our past— it’s refusing to move forward. While we hold onto ancestral pride and historical achievements, our focus on the present and future often lags. In the words of many in my generation, "My ancestors may have been landowners, but we had so much respect in the villages.” But boss, that’s history now. You are as much a corporate employee as me. Let's work on our present instead of dwelling on the past and build a future. There are several factors contributing to this stagnation – outdated education system, political influence, issues like caste/ religion/ language -based biases, environmental negligence, and widespread tolerance of corruption, a tendency to prioritize flashy expenses, like high-priced events, over essential investments, such as education or social reform, and many more. One prime example of this would be Bengal - from being the 1st industrial state in 1947 to now ranking 11th behind Chattisgarh and Jharkhand. In Bengal’s case, despite its historical significance, industrial growth has faltered, replaced by an emphasis on fine arts and literature, which alone cannot sustain a state’s prosperity. As cited by industry experts, “Without a radical shift toward governance, business acumen, and wealth creation, progress remains unlikely.” It’s time for a mindset change. What a sad day and tremendous loss of a noble statesman who changed the face of India and world economy forever. Dr Manmohan Singh quitely went about making the most necessary economic liberalisation changes to get India into chapter 3.0 of itself. The way I look at it Chapter 1 (1947 till 1970s) - Was the period where India and my grandparents generation were dealing with the aftermath of free and post partition India. Their sole purpose was rebuilding a life especially the ones who had to move borders with singular focus on putting food on the table. Chapter 2 (1970s till 1991) - this was the period my parents generation which was now the youth of the time was focused on taking the foundation built by the previous generation to build India to the next stage of development. They focused primarily on education (especially the urban population) as their key tool towards economic growth , job development etc…. Chapter 3 (1991 till 2020s) - this was the big leap frog moment in 1991 when Dr Manmohan Singh opened the economy and unleashed India to the world. The knowledge industry flourished and many including myself who were students of engineering joined the true global might of the software industry the foundation of which was clearly laid by him. We often forget that many industries especially the world I belong to owe all of this to visionaries like him who not just dreamt but executed the power of what India’s software and many other industries stand to on a global stage today. In business context this is a tremendous lesson on immense value creation which we all talk about but few are able to accomplish as silently and so seamlessly, with such humility. I salute with deep gratitude to what you have done for all of us and no tribute will ever be enough to the impact you have had on society at large. It is now for the future generations to write the next chapter and leverage the immense opportunity which lies ahead laid down by visionaries like Dr Manmohan Singh !! RIP sir 🙏🙏🙏
