It was a #class project that became a #reality for those who were determined. Let's take a look at the #streaming technology that brought the #Olympics to an all-time record audience in the middle of the #covid.

YouTube is redefining live sports - The Paris Olympics just proved It 🚀
YouTube continues to solidify its position as a sporting powerhouse, and the recent Olympics was the ultimate showcase.
Latin American broadcaster ClaroSports took full advantage, streaming the entire Olympics live for free on their YouTube channel across 17 countries.
But they didn’t stop there - they introduced multiview functionality, allowing viewers to watch up to 4 events simultaneously (the same tech used for the NFL on YouTube).
The results?
- 542 million views
- 1.2 million new subscribers
This wasn’t just another broadcast—it was one of the most accessible, interactive, and personalised Olympic experiences ever.
These numbers aren’t just impressive; they’re a clear signal that we are entering the era of live sports dominance on YouTube.
