Valve instrumentation is a critical element in all processes. At Babcock we actuate our valves according to customer requirements. We use electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuators or even power packs for enclosures without power outlets. We also supply this instrumentation for different classified areas, from Explosion Proof to all levels of IP protection for severe waterproof situations. Also, this instrumentation and the communication between all actuators and between the actuators and the control panel is a critical part of the supply. And then we also work under redundant safety and SIL certifications. All this ensuring the operation times required by the process. Here we show you the assembly of a double acting AOV actuator in a gate valve with by pass.
