Tyre Stewardship Australia’s Post

A circular economy for tyres is a global issue with local solutions. Chile’s Vice Minister of Mining, Ms Suina Chahuan Kim, met with TSA CEO Lina Goodman at our IMARC stand, and we agreed that we are learning so much from each other. Chile’s mandatory tyre recycling laws are getting tyres recycled. Australia’s voluntary scheme is stimulating markets for tyre-derived material through r&d and market development – $10 million across 70+ projects. We are gaining so much from sharing our experiences and knowledge with each other. Chile’s mining environment and logistics challenges share similarities with Australia. And there are many mining companies operating both in Australia and Chile. And working with Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and Victorian Government Trade and Investment Office, Latin America to support business opportunities and connections. There are so many opportunities, and we are so pleased to continue collaborating with Chile. H.E. I think we just need Mandatory here for the lot as well, I counted hundreds dumped on roadside from Townsville to Tassie and back. From Clermont to Charters Towers alone over 294 dumped along the length of the highway

Still frustrated that no one has taken or considered the refund deposit model used by Germany. You must envision the idea to sell it. People bring tires in to a deposit location and earn XYX depending on size. A refund for what they don't want and your organisation reaps the rewards for the tyre stewardship program that yoy promote. What's not to like?
