Tyre Stewardship Australia’s Post

It's all hands on deck at the John Landy Athletics Field!  🔨 The redevelopment of the Geelong Region's athletics track is in its final stages, with the project expected to be completed within the coming weeks. The redevelopment will use more than 50 tonnes of recycled rubber as part of upgrades, from end-of-life truck tyres. CEO of City of Greater Geelong, Ali Wastie, has stated that the use of recyclable materials in Council projects is an ongoing priority: "Our Environment Strategy promotes a circular economy through sustainable procurement practices, supports new and existing markets for recovered resources, and promotes increased use of recycled materials in road, building and other infrastructure constructions.” Read more about the John Landy Redevelopment Project here: https://lnkd.in/e4abmVTr Image credit: Geelong Athletics
