The secret to my success 👇
My amazing and supportive husband John.
He has been on this crazy ride next to me since the beginning…

By far, this is my greatest achievement.

First best practice for podcast hosts is to have a guest application form and then organize a pre-screening call beforehand. It always helps.
Second best practice is to use a dedicated platform (like Podmatch) where it's very easy to vet potential guests and contact those that fit our audience the best.
CE Hon. Tracey Martin is en route to Reefton today to meet with locals fighting to replace the aged care services their community lost earlier this year. For many, the closure of Ziman House has meant loved ones must leave their town, their community, and their loved ones to receive the care they need.
Today's update explores the challenges of delivering care in rural areas such as Reefton, and what New Zealand can learn from Australia's approach. Because we don’t have to reinvent the wheel here; we can learn from proven models and adapt them to meet the unique needs of our communities, ensuring equitable access to care for all New Zealanders, no matter where they live.
Tracey also points out that these scenarios are the results of decisions. Somewhere along the way, a decision has been made inside Te Whatu Ora, inside government, that it is okay not to provide aged care to some of our communities.
The ACA continues to call for members of government to look at what the Australian’s are doing, and consider the benefits for the New Zealand aged care sector of adopting innovative funding models, like block funding, to support rural and regional communities in providing sustainable and locally tailored aged care solutions.

💥 Looking forward to an epic later .
📺 I’ve really enjoyed this tournament, watched most games & it’s reminded me a lot about what you need to do for your team to succeed :
⚽️ There is no ‘one size fits all ‘ in modern teamwork , where research ( knowing todays opponents & field of play ) adaptability, dynamic problem solving & communication is key .
⚽️ Having the right skillset in the right role to get the best from them & if this isn’t possible, taking remedial action to support those ‘out of position’
⚽️ The team has ‘starters & finishers’ - the people who come on through the game, can change the dynamic & inject motivation, energy & opportunity for the wider team
⚽️ It’s not how you start that matters, it’s how you finish. Teams who win get better as the competition goes on .
⚽️ A mix of experience & young talent delivers huge benefits
🥅 And as for the manager, Gareth Southgate, who’s been living this Steve Jobs quote :
‘ If you want to make everyone happy, don’t be a leader, sell Ice Cream ‘
Thanks & good luck tonight 😉

Starting my own business has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in my life so far... Here are my take aways from my first year of operating!
It has taught me resilience, and the mindset to move directionally correctly rather than wait for everything to be absolutely perfect. Results compound when you focus on getting 1% better everyday.
Some people asked me "why did you want to start your own business?" and to be honest the question really made me think...
I think in business (and in life for that matter), you have a choice. Go for it and see what you're really made of. Or don't try and live wondering "what if?"
For those who know me I'm not a "what if" kind of person...
One of the best quotes that I think about almost everyday is actually one from my dad (My father is a tradie who owned his own painting and decorating business for over 20+ years ).
My dad said to me 4 words that have changed my thinking. So simple yet still hold to this day.
Those 4 words?
"Have a crack son"
Very aussie of him I know! But if you simply show up and have a crack at whatever you're doing you'll be better than everyone else who isn't "having a crack".
Time and effort compound.
Mindset, courage and consistency are the key to becoming a more competent and successful person. It just happens to also pay massive dividends to your business too!
My one piece of advice to anyone thinking of going out on your own... Put people and providing value as your first focus, the rest tends to follow quite quickly!
Provide value and expect nothing in return and focus on building genuine relations rather than "clientele".
People buy from people they like. AI or tech won't ever change that!
I can't wait to repost this years down the track and see how far everything has come.
Until next time!
Happy 1st Birthday to us!!! Excited to add even more value over the coming years to both our great clients and candidates! Vision. People. Growth!!! 🎂 🎊
Logistics can be a servant industry. It can also be a partner industry.
If you act as a servant/order taker, you accept what's given to you. Customer says, "Hey, I need a box truck for these 15 pallets." And if you're an order taker, you say "You got it, boss."
If you want to rise above being a servant/order taker, you need to become an industry partner. Customer says, "Hey, I need a box truck for these 15 pallets." And you say, "Customer, unless those pallets are stackable, you're going to need a dry van. How does that work for you?"
The difference between the two is the ability to make suggestions.
