🌟 Exciting News from FH Kiel 🌟 We are thrilled to share that, thanks to the initiative of Agnès Moiroux (Centre for Languages and Intercultural Studies - ZSIK) and Prof. Dr. Matthias Dreßler (Faculty of Business Management), the Kiel University of Applied Sciences has made a successful debut at the prestigious, international team competition organized by Airbus. On October 11 th the FH Kiel campus was buzzing with excitement as Chris David Bucciarelli from Airbus Operations and Catrin Hesselink from Risk Management engaged approximately 80 of our students, including international attendees, in an enlightening session. They delved into the captivating details of the competition, igniting curiosity and enthusiasm among the students. This year's competition, conducted entirely in English, challenged student teams to showcase their ingenuity and innovation. With "Knowledge Cross-Fertilisation" as its theme, the contest emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary information, idea, and concept exchange. This approach not only fosters groundbreaking innovations but also solves complex challenges by applying cross-disciplinary knowledge. The competition commences with a jury selecting national winners, who then proceed to collaborate in international teams. These teams will compete by submitting their final written projects by mid-January, followed by a presentation to a jury at Airbus Hamburg at the end of January. Stay tuned for more updates! 🚀 #FHkiel #Innovation #StudentCompetition #Airbus #CrossDisciplinary #Teamwork #GlobalLearning

📣 I am very excited to start our official announcements for the five satellite events that we are co-organizing during the Ocean Decade Week in Barcelona! 🌊 Join us for our very interactive event “Capacity Development for the Ocean We Want: Exploring Science Communication and Solving Global Capacity Development” which will take place at Institut de Ciències del Mar - CSIC on Monday 8 April, 17:00 - 19:00. This event is developed by us at the Early Career Ocean Professionals in partnership with International Ocean Institute, Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST), Ocean Voices Programme, APECS - Association of Polar Early Career Scientists, and CoNISMa. 🌎 This event strives to find innovative and efficient solutions to address specific challenges related to capacity development/sharing. The event will include a mini-hackathon, designed to be interactive and action-oriented, with a focus on providing ECOPs with opportunities to develop practical skills and tools that they can use in their careers, through solving 'real world' challenges. 📌 We will have special guest Tiago Garcia talking about aspects of science communication, followed by case studies presented by ECOP Programme Training and Mentoring manager Conor Savage and our partner representative Cosmin Nicolae Chivu from International Ocean Institute, followed by a very engaging hackathon - here I will spare you the details to keep it intriguing! 😉 We will make sure our participants get a lot of useful tips and learn something new and valuable! 👉 You do not need to be registered for the Ocean Decade Conference to attend, but you will need to register for this particular event through this link https://lnkd.in/g_ne8fhR - otherwise you won't be able to enter the location due to venue requirements. Max capacity is 40 people so don't delay your registration as it will close once the limit is reached. #oceandecade #earlycareerresearchers #capacitydevelopment #capacitybuilding #sciencecommunication
