My office view for the week. Today was day 1 of teaching law students at the University of the South Pacific in Port Vila as part of DLA Piper’s pro bono activities. We are here for a week teaching final year students about the importance of the Rule of Law, access to justice and pro bono legal work, as well as practical tips around key legal skills. It is an honour and a privilege to be able to participate in such a great project. #ruleoflaw #USP #DLAPiperNZ #probono

Their report, based on previous research by Community Legal Education Ontario, identifies complex court forms as barriers to justice, especially in family law where many parties represent themselves. The strategies proposed include providing tailored instructions and using language that clarifies tasks, significantly reducing complexity and improving accessibility.
