Unpopular Opinion: Your biggest threat isn’t your competitor. Most entrepreneurs believe their competition is the enemy. But here’s the kicker—a Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report shows that startups fixated solely on competition are 50% more likely to fail within the first three years. 🤯 Why? Because toxic competition shifts focus from creating value to tearing others down. 🔴 It’s draining. 🔴 It’s unproductive. 🔴 And it rarely leads to long-term success. The truth is; your “rival” is probably facing the same struggles as you are. ⚠️ Raising capital. ⚠️ Finding product-market fit. ⚠️ Building a loyal customer base. So, what if you approached them as a collaborator instead of a competitor? 🤔 🟢 You could solve common challenges together. 🟢 Co-host workshops that empower your shared community. 🟢 Share your networks and resources. 🔴 Toxic competition slows everyone down. 🟢 Real progress happens when we shift from ‘Me vs. You’ to ‘Us vs. The Problem.’ As entrepreneurs, it’s time to rethink how we engage with each other. Curious how I’m helping founders build more collaborative communities? Let’s chat!

If you’re Neurodiverse, entrepreneurship might just be your perfect fit. Why? Because you bring something unique to the table. Creativity, problem-solving, and analytical thinking are just the beginning. Neurodivergent minds often challenge the status quo, and that’s exactly what entrepreneurship needs. 🔍 The stats don’t lie: - 1 in 5 people with ADHD try entrepreneurship or self-employment. - Those with dyslexia are 300% more likely to start their own business. But it’s not always smooth sailing. Imposter syndrome, overwhelm, and execution challenges are real obstacles. Here’s the good news: We’re launching the Neurodiverse Founders Club* under Insitute of Neurodiversity, a space where like-minded entrepreneurs can connect, share, and learn from each other’s experiences. Who’s this for? - If you’re Neurodivergent (diagnosed or self-diagnosed). - If you’re running a business or thinking of starting one. 👉 Join our community. Share your journey. Learn from others. *A special thanks to Professor Charlotte Valeur Paritosh and Chitra for helping set this up under the Institute of Neuroversity. Together, we’re creating a global support system for neurodiverse entrepreneurs. Ready to connect? Links to our WhatsApp group is here. https://lnkd.in/gB-kT64a P.S. If you know someone who would benefit from this, please share this post!

Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor.studio: In 2024, I learned that the scariest decisions often lead to the greatest impact - from launching The Rotimi Olorunfemi Initiative to empowering young entrepreneurs at Bradford's Dragons' Den. This year proved what happens when you embrace your full identity - both the data analyst passionate about AI and the community builder determined to create change: • Launched TROI to empower young people and drive community impact • Served as Dragon at Bradford's Enterprise Ecosystem pitch event • Developed new AI-driven approaches to community empowerment • Featured on BBC Radio Leeds discussing immigrant representation • Recognized in The Nation Newspaper for contributions to UK education Most meaningful moments from 2024: "Feeling Discouraged? This is for you!" On launching TROI despite fears and finding strength in purpose https://lnkd.in/e-9FrZtD "Inspiring the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs" When being a Dragon taught me more than I taught others https://lnkd.in/eHyQGTvu "About a week ago..." Speaking truth about immigrant experience on BBC Radio Leeds https://lnkd.in/eHyQGTvu Standing at that Dragons' Den panel, watching young entrepreneurs pitch their dreams, I realized - this is exactly where my technical expertise and community passion meet. Every data point tells a story of potential, every analysis an opportunity to create change. To the incredible Bradford community, the aspiring entrepreneurs, and everyone who supported TROI's launch - you've shown me that impact multiplies when we embrace both our technical skills and our desire to serve others. Looking ahead to 2025: Expanding TROI's reach while developing new data-driven approaches to community development. Because sometimes the most powerful algorithms are the ones that help people believe in themselves. What bold step will you take in 2025? Share in the comments - you might inspire someone else to take theirs. 😊 #Leadership #CommunityImpact #Entrepreneurship #PersonalDevelopment #TROI2024 -- Get your 2024 LinkedIn Rewind! Edit: Yes, anyone can book the calendy. No I don’t charge a damn thing. Yes, I will listen to your business pitch and tell you how to scale it. No, I don’t want anything back. Karma has my back. Yes, we can schedule follow ups and I will cheer you on. —- My calendy was booked these last few weeks and all I heard was one brilliant idea after another. Business ideas that will easily blow up and take the fitness industry to the next level. Friends that are ready to taken even bigger swings into entrepreneurship. Fast ways to monetize community expertise in local neighborhoods. Even recent graduates scoping out abroad possibilities. I can see the trend: I know the world feels like it’s going to sh*t, but people are fighting back. They will make things better. Very much enjoying my front row seat and just being a supportive ear. Opening spots in April if you need. https://lnkd.in/ejuqWrdD The future is community driven. Make your own calendy and get out there. 😘😘

Do you find entrepreneurship to be lonely at times? Do you wish you had someone to talk to about things that you cannot share with non-entrepreneurs or employees? So did we. For 2025, we're introducing 10-person mastermind groups inside our membership. Think of them as your advisory board. Throughout history, some of the greatest achievements have been born out of the power of "the third mind" that emerges when people come together to share, create, and support each other. We'll place you in a group with people with similar intent, and with people who can provide you with perspective, ideas, and support to supercharge your growth. Oh, and we'll do live meetups and other fun stuff too. If you're interested, leave the comment "10" below or DM us. #mastermind #community

To All Entrepreneurs, CEOs, and COOs in My Network! I’ve seen many communities for developers, designers, and other tech professionals on platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram. These groups are excellent for collaboration and problem-solving. But as an entrepreneur, I’ve noticed something missing — where are the local communities for CEOs, COOs, and entrepreneurs? 🤔 As entrepreneurs, we face unique challenges and often need guidance, advice, and support from our peers. I know there are global communities, but I’m particularly interested in connecting with local ones where we can share insights, brainstorm solutions, and even collaborate on initiatives specific to our region. 🌍 So, to my network: If you’re aware of any such local groups or communities, please let me know! Drop a comment, DM me, or add me if you’re already in one. 🙌 And if you think such communities don’t exist, I’d love to hear why. Would it be valuable to have a dedicated space for local entrepreneurs to support each other? What’s stopping us from creating one? 💬 Let’s build something together. Looking forward to your insights! 👇 #Entrepreneurship #CommunityBuilding #Networking #LocalCommunities

“The community just isn’t what it used to be”… “We need big businesses to open up”… “The council should X, Y, and Z”… I hear all of the above sentences ALL of the time! And yes, all are true to a certain extent. But… What if I told you the secret to helping your community to thrive once more isn’t just big corporate influences, but actually something closer to home - like entrepreneurs! Humble plug incoming… Welsh ICE has successfully delivered the “5-9 Club” for the best part of the past 10 years… It’s the crown jewel of our Academy programme that nurtures budding entrepreneurs in how to turn their ideas into thriving businesses, and it’s working! To date over 70% of participants who launch businesses off the back of the ‘5-9 Club’ survive beyond 5 years (compare that to national averages 😱)… To those of you reading this who may be looking at supporting the communities around you - by investing in entrepreneurial training, companies like yours aren’t just supporting individuals, you’re helping build stronger, more resilient local economies! New businesses mean new jobs, increased local spending, and therefore creating vibrant communities 🙌 Want to see real community impact? Let’s chat about bringing entrepreneurship to your next outreach project 👇 Tom@welshice.org

‘That is A LOT of money for a dinner’ 🙄 I’ve received messages like this a couple of times, from people who said that they were interested in joining Founders Table... ...except that they didn’t like the price tag 🏷️ of the event It is 100% fine with me that because of the ticket price, some people don’t join my events. By pricing the event higher than a typical dinner, I ONLY get people who truly value making new connections. Founders Table is NOT a dinner. Founders Table is a networking and mastermind experience for entrepreneurs, that happens to include a dinner. Entrepreneurs who join the Founders Table, get an amazing deal for their KPI: 🟠 Money/Time spent per valuable new connection made. Everyone at the Founders Table genuinely values making new connections and being part of an entrepreneurial community, and has proven that by investing in a ticket. Price = self-selection of the right people ✅
