Assistant Thruster When a pipeline with large diameter & great length is being back-pulled into a borehole in thick sand layers or in other soft strata susceptible to collapsing, the resistant force exerted on the back pulled pipe is possibly much greater than the capacity of the rig, therefore an assistant thruster should be used at the tail end of the back-pulled pipe to assist installing. Huayuan has independently developed and manufactured the HY-500T Type Assistant Thruster (for steel pipe installation)which was first satisfactorily used for assisting the back-pull of the Liaohe River HDD Work, Besides, some custom-built thrusters intended to deal with special diffculties of certain HDD projects.have also been designed by Huayuan and successfully used in respective projects. #HDD #rigs #trenchless #pipeline #AssistantThruster
