🌍 For today's #SmileFriday, we're celebrating a week of so many milestones for #Agriculture around the world. On October 15th, it was International Day of #RuralWomen, and on the 17th, #WorldFoodDay. Next week, we're looking forward to #COP16 in Colombia, where everything began for Agromovil. All these events spotlight core values that Agromovil holds dear - #empowering women in agriculture, reducing #foodloss, and fostering #sustainability.🌱 But it's more than just talk. The numbers are staggering and should demand EVERYONE's attention... In 2023, a report by the Colombian Society of Farmers revealed that the agricultural sector is still dominated by men, with women earning 14% less than their male counterparts. 🤷♀️ Women need #marketaccess, and we're pleased to share an Agromovil women's milestone: for the first time in any country there are MORE WOMEN than men on the platform -- all while our numbers continue to grow (men and women) by 8+% each month! Women are #agripreneurs and they will take action! 📉 On the food loss front, the challenge is equally pressing. According to Colombia’s National Planning Department, 34% of the country’s food supply is lost or wasted each year — that's more than 9.76 million tons. (Crazy number, no?) Key to large scale #lossreduction is providing real-time visibility on available produce, so buyers and farmers can plan and match #realtime supply with demand so EVERYTHING gets sold. Another milestone: in #Colombia #smallfarmers have placed over 230 DIFFERENT products on Agromovil. 🥑 🍅 🐄 🔗 Finally, as Colombia prepares to host COP, the world's eyes (and lots of words no doubt) will be focused on our #sustainability future. In Colombia it's estimated that trucking is the cause of over 42% of CO2 emissions, and globally nearly 20% of greenhouse gasses come from food transport - equivalent to 3 gigatonnes of emissions. The fleet of trucks picking up #smallag around the world is out of date and highly polluting - often more than 20 years old. #Agdata can make pickup more efficient, reducing emissions and making the case for #cleanertransport... but we need to get farmer production on the map to make that happen. We are in a very real sense parts of a common #ecosystem -- all powered by #food and #foodsecurity. And there can be no #climate solution without major improvements in #ag #supplychains. Baltic Sustainability Awards. We got the price as best Generative farm and 3rd in Biodiversity. Farmers Like to harvest. The cherry on top, harvesting local and international acclaimed awards during 2024 became the award which embraced our full vision of a better and healthier future: Among the prizes which went to Farmer's Circle and Senatoriu Pasazas are: • The Best Organic Farm in Lithuania • One Red Michelin for Nineteen18 • Bib Gourmand for 14Horses • The Green Michelin for RedBrick The awards nicely add up to our vision described as a Triangle: • Resilience/Short Local Supply Chains • Health/Organic Produces Without Chemicals and Silly Codes • Sustainability/Responsibility in Our Doings Environmentally and Socially Somewhere hidden in this quite serious agenda, we should not forget that fun and serious, hammering well taste is equally important - without it, we will never succeed as a global family of humans.

The event, themed “From Vision to Action – Driving Sustainable Change Together”, brought together peers from local and international businesses, policymakers, and sustainability experts. The sentiment was vividly expressed through numerous presentations and panel discussions. Fostering sustainability within our organisations, local communities, and ultimately across the planet truly requires a collaborative effort.
