⚠ Googling symptoms only tells you which diseases have the Best SEO ⚠ Ever googled a symptom and ended up convinced you have a rare, life threatening disease? We've all been there. But here's the not so fun fact: search engines prioritize websites with strong SEO (Search Engine Optimization), not medical accuracy. That means you might be getting results for scary illnesses simply because those sites are better at ranking high, not because they're the most relevant to your situation. Here's what to do instead: Skip the self diagnosis: Google can be a great starting point, but it shouldn't be your final answer. Seek professional help: Schedule an appointment with your doctor. They can properly assess your symptoms and give you real peace of mind. Look for reliable sources: If you do use online resources, stick to reputable medical websites like the Mayo Clinic or WebMD (but use them with a healthy dose of skepticism!). Let's be honest, cyberchondria is a real thing. Don't let the internet turn a minor sniffle into a medical emergency. #healthcare #selfcare #digitalhealth #wellbeing

It is World Meningitis Day today. A time for us lucky enough to have survived this, to come together and raise awareness of the signs and symptoms. Early diagnosis can save lives. People’s perceptions of Meningitis is “isn’t that an old illness? no-one gets it these days, only babies” Wrong unfortunately… Meningitis is fast, life-threatening, and affects millions of lives around the world. But there’s hope. Vaccines, early diagnosis, and better healthcare access can prevent countless tragedies. For me, this day is about more than just looking back on my own story. It’s about looking forward to a future where no one has to face the same fear. Let’s raise awareness, support research, and ensure that more people get the opportunity to not only survive but thrive. We can make meningitis a thing of the past—but it takes all of us.💙💜💛 Please read the literature and share it, you could save a life. #WorldMeningitisDay #DefeatMeningitis
