One of the best practices from Design Thinking is prototyping. I've invested in displaying at #transform2024 and since my space it a bit teeny, I needed to see it in action. So I dug out the measuring tape and built a prototype on my kitchen table! This made it so much easier to "see" how everything fits together. It shows me how much space I'll have for 'Loose' Lego bricks so people can play. I can see which containers to use and how it will look when I adhere things to the back wall. I can also see how cluttered it will get if I do too much, which is definitely a risk. Now to get the final touches done, slideshows built, and get ready to pack up on Sunday! Bringing Ideas to Life! Prototyping is a way of creating an early version of a product. It’s cost-effective and fast. It helps designers and developers 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬, 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭. Inspired by Ansh Mehra’s latest video on prototyping which is a part of Basics of Figma Series. I made a simple prototype of interacting with a dashboard using auto-layout components, variants, and in-component prototyping. Have been creating animations on figma for a while now. I mostly use after delay in prototyping, but I was able to do that only to a frame. With this new figma update I can apply after delay also into the objects inside the frame. Reposting a video where my favourite member from Figma Miggi from Figgi explains how to use after delay into objects inside a frame. Autodesk Acquires Wonder Dynamics I've closely followed Wonder Dynamics since their emergence, especially during my time at Move AI. Their innovative use of AI for VFX in filmmaking has always stood out, as they have been solely focused on this use case. The acquisition of Wonder Dynamics marks an exciting change for Autodesk, suggesting potential new tools and workflows that could make animation more intuitive and accessible for their users. The lack of financial details on this acquisition raises questions for me on what the strategic motivation is for both parties. Is this merger about shared visions or strategic opportunism? Could this move by Autodesk, known for its robust professional toolset, risk stifling innovation by closing off its ecosystem, or will it indeed broaden the creative possibilities for its users? These questions will only be answered as we get more details on how they will integrate. Ultimately though I have to say congratulations to all parties involved, well-done Nikola Todorovic and the Wonder Dynamics I look forward to seeing what you build within Autodesk.
