Hot on the heels of signing a £100M contract to supply a range of deployable C2 container solutions to #FMV in Sweden, #Marshall and our team mates #GeneralDynamics are now under contract to deliver the Canadian DND’s Logistics Vehicle Modernisation Programme (LVM). The LVM programme is worth in excess of £200M to #Marshall. That makes a running total of more than £300M of #Export orders for Marshall in the Military Land Domain so far in 2024. Not bad for a ‘big SME’…. Those that are familiar with #Marshall will know that our brand is synonymous with #C130 - with almost 60 years of experience of looking after that platform for a number of nations world-wide. The early retirement of the UK’s #C130 fleet left a hole in our workload that we are working hard to recover. Our growing ability to be successful in international markets is playing an increasingly significant role in that journey. Thanks to the #Marshall teams in Canada and the UK - and to our friends in #GeneralDynamics - for working so hard to get such a significant deal over the line. Onwards and upwards….

As the US votes on its next president, some experts in military technology say that Europe might have to plug some holes in its supply of certain US-made weapons with whoever makes it into the White House. The US is present at different stages of Europe’s various military responses, from increasing their patrols in key strategic areas like the Baltic Sea, to the over 100,000 troops in bases across the continent. But whoever takes the White House could cause a shift in where their weapons supply goes, which could affect the EU’s military support. Coordinated Resistance in #Myanmar Following the 2021 coup, many new armed groups adopted the name People’s Defense Forces (PDFs), supported by the National Unity Government’s (NUG) call for self-defense against military atrocities. Coordination with Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs), including joint military operations, has strengthened new resistance groups, enhanced capabilities, and blocked military reinforcements from threatening EAO territories. Since 2021, this coordination has led to significant successes, including the capture of at least 80 towns, 200 military bases, and one of the military’s regional commands. The conflict landscape continues to evolve as resistance groups challenge military rule.
