UK Ministry of Defence’s Post

🇷🇺 As inflation and interest rates reach new heights in Russia, businesses and consumers are paying the price for the Kremlin's costly invasion of Ukraine. 📉 #StandWithUkraine🇺🇦

Hmmmm, is that why it just overtook Germany in size of economy, to become the biggest economy in Europe? At least get some propaganda that works 🙄

Peace should always be a priority, especially between nuclear-armed nations. When watching Putin speak, he seems to be the only adult in the room. Hopefully, that changes in the next couple of months when Trump officially gets in and, I hope, puts options on the table to broker peace once and for all. All the efforts by the UK and MoD just seem to be belittling, childish, and very incompetent.

I'm just a dumb auditor, but if you could persuade Mr Modi & Mr Xi to not use Russian oil, aircraft etc your sanctions would be more effective

..honestly, I've met many lovely Russian people when I was a Tour Guide - and guess what? They don't hate any country - hating Russia is just an excuse to buy more Arms and fight more wars - have you forgotten that Russia sacrificed 26 million to break Hitlers grip on the World? Have you forgotten that 3.8 million Russians died in the Nazi death camps..? So please stop with the propaganda and let us seek peace with Russia instead..

What is the point of the post ?

To be fair Putin has been trying to stop the war since day one. We are the ones that have refused to stop it. We are the ones that refused to promise not to expand NATO into Ukraine (which is like what Canada is to the USA to clarify) - which would have prevented the invasion. These are the facts.

why would you be so concerned about your enemy?? btw, cost of investing in russia is 21%, i.e, if you put your money there as a saving in roubles you get 21% return.

The human cost of this and any war is abhorrent. I’m not impressed, and lack confidence in the MoD by releasing what looks like ‘propaganda’ material like this. I dont’t think this is the role for the MoD either.. just my personal thoughts…
