🪖 What's key challenge for Modi’s third term in defence field? A key challenge for Modi 3.0 will be sustaining the momentum of military modernization. Over the past years, the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force have seen upgrades, including: ▪️Navy’s first indigenous aircraft carrier; ▪️New destroyers and submarines; ▪️Advanced fighter jets for the Air Force. 🚀 India has also taken major steps towards self-reliance in weapons manufacturing.

From these trials and experiences, flywheel device training provides a variable load modality to target power, strength, and likely aerobic outcomes. Thus, this modality is a practical tool for deployed environments where space is limited (e.g., space, military ships, police departments, fire departments, aircraft hangars, military operational forward operating bases).

Thirty-three years ago - toward what would end up being the end of Operation Desert Storm - the ordinance crew from Attack Squadron Three-Five (VA-35) loaded 22 Mk-82 500lb (230 kg) unguided, low drag general purpose bombs onto our squadron's A-6E Intruder. During the Persian Gulf War it is estimated that 4,500 GBU-12/Mk-82 were dropped onto Iraqi forces - all loaded by the strong backs of sailors and airmen. From the pictures below the task of uploading 22 500 pound bombs on a single aircraft is hard, back breaking labor. The burden of loading these weapons onto a four aircraft division only added to the daily stress and fatigue for the crew who worked tirelessly for more than 6 months. That's more than 45,000 lbs (22 tons) of ordnance - not to mention the time it took to prepare the weapons for safe release. The dedication and commitment by our Navy sailors never wavered - true unsung heroes of VA-35 and Navy Squadrons deployed in the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf. As a young naval officer, division officer, and squadron pilot I watched them toil, without complaint, instead joking and chiding each other to do more despite their exhaustion. On this given day I decided to help decrease their burden loading those weapons - just one sailor helping another - silently - without hesitation. Regardless of rank - are you willing to roll up your sleeves - and help those who never ask for help? Are you uninhibited by hierarchy? #navy, #navalaviation, #leadership, #usnavy, #innovation, #usna, #calledtoserve

Plans are for the US military to retire these. That is absolutely absurd as is the intention of the US Air Force with the A-10. Instead, these aircraft should be turned over to the air National Guard and Air Force reserve as well as the Naval/Marine reserve. Furthermore volunteers that have retired from the military can assist in the maintenance of these aircraft. There is still a place for these, even though they are not stealthy, they can be pulled out of the reserves and air National Guard to be used in the time of warfare. Do you have spent billions and billions and dollars on aircraft and then just retire them to the boneyard is absolutely stupidity and a waste of our tax dollars , as well as a decrease in our capabilities. If I were president of the United States, I would sign an executive order to maintain these aircraft on a sideline basis, primarily with volunteers and reserves. Retired naval and Air Force pilots could volunteer as auxiliary. Furthermore, students in ROTC in colleges could volunteer to train and be back up as well. With a volunteer Force at state levels, essentially Militias these would serve ax security of the states. This would include other types of aircraft, such as helicopters etc. https://lnkd.in/gN4c3QeR

Not only do the extreme cold conditions bring unique requirements to the weapons systems but they also expose the gaps in the military’s ECWCS and CTAPS. While both of these systems are great for certain conditions, there are many improvements that need to be made to enhance the warfighters ability to sustain and survive in future conflicts in alpine and arctic environments.
"It is vital that military equipment work wherever in the world American Soldiers need it, and extreme cold is a weather condition troops have contended with frequently in American history." Soldiers from the Alaska-based 11th Airborne Division, U.S. Army put the Next Generation Squad Weapon through its paces in sub-zero temperatures. The Military Awards System is corrupted and overwhelmingly favors officers. Can someone explain what is going on here. As you can see in the main picture, as a BGen this officer does not have the Combat Action Ribbon (CAR). Then top right as a 3 star, he doesn't have the CAR either. Then bottom as a 4 star, he has the CAR....how did this happen? The CAR is for Colonels and below "who have actively participated in ground or surface combat." The ribbon is awarded to members of the Navy and Marine Corps with a rank no higher than captain and colonel, respectively. So how does a 4 star end up with the CAR all of a sudden? Also see my Podcast on the Broken Military Awards System. https://lnkd.in/duZYvm4z
