Really great to see this Government intervention, securing the jobs of hard working people in two communities in Scotland and others elsewhere across the UK. The skills these yards have are at the heart and needed to deliver the National Shipbuilding Office 30 year programme and the GB Energy targets for secure net zero energy production.

The government were wrong to refuse the UKEF guarantee. It created a far greater cost to the public purse, people's livelihoods ruined and long supportive shareholders left with nothing. The business minister has no idea what he is doing and no business or real work experience.
