HBM gives oroof of the simultaneous exposure to hundreds of synthetic chemicals

A recent study published in npj Science of Food provides a comprehensive analysis of the environmental risks of 'Forever Chemicals' PFAS in our food systems. Analysing over 150,000 data entries, the study reveals that fish, seafood, and biota show significant PFAS concentrations due to contamination and bioaccumulation. Alarmingly, 1323 out of 9015 samples exceeded the limit of quantification (LOQ), with PFOS identified as the 'predominant contaminant' in this food category.
