This training addresses three crucial aspects long overlooked in our education system: character building, entrepreneurship, and #STEM education. An insight on "The need of the Curriculum- My perspective" Why do we need Curriculum? A very important question asked for a long time. Let’s have a look. 1. Human Capital Development: To ensure the necessary workforce needed to mobilize the country. 2. Social Reconstruction: To reform our society. To make our society better again and again over the period of time. 3. Self Actualization: The fact that “Each child/ student has so much potential to offer”, Curriculum will help them realize their potential. 4. Cultural Reproduction: The values such as respect, tolerance, sharing, caring and others needs to be transmitted from generations to generations. Curriculum shall help sustain these kinds of values. 5. Cultural Diversity: Today in a multi cultural society, the students need to learn the ways to live together by adjusting, helping and working together. Challenges: Though a curriculum is designed in a befitting way but it is still found challenging to apply these in our education sector and save the future. There is lack of administration and parts of teaching methodolgies for the students. Most oftenly, teachers focus on the content only (as instructed by their high ups) and lag in teaching the above important pillars, thereby affecting the future generation in their behaviours and actions. Another reason is the market dependency which in Pakistan has become MARKS DEPENDENT. This has lead to corruption, nepotism, wrong use of authority and system paralysis. The education system is at the brink of collapse.
