𝗘𝗟𝗜𝟱-𝗦𝟭 𝗕𝗜𝗠 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗘𝟳: 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗢𝗜𝗥) 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 Today, let's dive into the concept of 𝐎𝐈𝐑 within ISO 19650. Every organisation has strategic information needs. These needs are driven by 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬, which initiate the information exchange process by answering key questions: 𝐖𝐡𝐲, 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭, 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧, 𝐖𝐡𝐨, and 𝐇𝐨𝐰. In a well-structured BIM framework: 𝐖𝐡𝐲? - Purpose impacts information needs. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭? - The type of information required. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧? - The timing of the information exchange. 𝐖𝐡𝐨? - The stakeholders involved. 𝐇𝐨𝐰? - The process of information management. These 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐈𝐌 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬) form the foundation of the OIR, ensuring that strategic information is available across all assets and departments. 𝐎𝐈𝐑 is the bedrock for all information management, helping to develop suitable 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐀𝐈𝐑) and 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐏𝐈𝐑). This ensures effective information exchange and comprehensive management throughout the asset's lifecycle. Understanding the role of 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 and 𝐈𝐌 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 in the context of OIR is crucial for effective information management in any construction project. #ELI5 #ELI5BIM #OIR #BIM #Construction #ProjectManagement #LearningTogether #Efficiency Jarek PROJECT DESIGN (IO) LTD Special thanks to David Churcher MBE for pointing out to me the meaning of the ISO 19650 Part 3 diagram replicated on page 9. Understanding BIM (Building Information Modeling) involves more than just recognizing it as software; it requires a critical approach to the underlying principles and methodologies. Grasping the purpose and requirements of BIM enables professionals to respond effectively to project needs. BIM documentation encompasses a range of materials, including standards, guidelines, and specifications that outline the processes, roles, and responsibilities involved in BIM projects. These documents serve as essential resources for ensuring consistency, accuracy, and collaboration among stakeholders. Familiarity with BIM documentation not only deepens your understanding of BIM concepts but also streamlines their application across all phases of a project, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness. special thanks to Niqat Global for learning me the way to think with Bim and happy to work with my team Group 09 special thanks to Plannerly - The BIM Management Platform to make it easy to achieve the international way for documentation special thanks to Mahmoud Sakr ,(PMP)®,BIM ManagementⓂ, BIM Coordinatorⓒ to support all of the team members our BIM decoments (OIR, PIR,EIR,BEP) #bim_kwnolage #keep_learning #niqat
