🌍🎉 Happy United Nations Day! Let’s celebrate our shared dreams of peace, unity, and cooperation. 🌈But let's also be sure to name problems when we see them. To right wrongs where they exist. Words from Gillian Marcelle, PhD about centering indigenous knowledge in equitable climate innovation: "United Nations protocols on climate and biodiversity in true multilateral spirit are only now naming colonialism among causal issues. Therefore, I wish to encourage protagonists in Ocean finance, decarbonization, net zero, ESG and sustainability finance, these Nature based financing folks - coalitions, asset owners or strategists - to engage around centering indigenous knowledge."
